I had Gwyn Lewis shock turrets - and I really liked them, loads of space, galvanised, and a nice simple design to keep clean. He did them in. Std height and +2, which requires the turret covers cutting or removing.
Where are they catching? Are your new shocks a wider body?

I’ve read it and still done understand it.
My understanding is that it’s not illegal to use it - but using it would give you a Q plate:

Using it whilst keeping the original registration - or adopting the registration originally associated with the chassis will be an offence - because you’re not following the statutory requirements.... though I don’t know what statutes it is.
