    I’d agree with that. I also think that a lot of time put into thinking about it can yield sudden inspiration for how to do it more elegantly. That’s very satisfying. I’m also capable of making a total pigs ear of it.

    Yes - you are 😍 There are no shear, compression, or tension forces on that bracket that would justify much more than cheese to hold it on.

    I don’t know anything about liveridge - but it must be worth a look, even if they were a dreadful company that vehicle may just have their cover and nothing else - plus in 15 years any issues could have been long sorted out.
