  1. Thanks, I was going to ask if anyone had an official bulletin for LR detailing the change. Niamh
  2. I take it fitting a diff built into its housing is simple, the BoL says nothing about it at all and the workshop manual is extremely brief "Remove axle shafts then differential assembly from axle." So it it as simple as that just bolt the new one back on with a new gasket? Niamh
  3. Use a proper tester, we use one of these Niamh
  4. So I've heard, but I've found that emails have so be sent multiple times to get a response
  5. Do you do them fitted to casings ready to bolt on and go? Niamh
  6. Don't take my word for it, this is the official workshop manual page- Gearbox lubrication.pdf Niiamh
  7. Well the general information section of the workshop manual says a R380 should have ATF Dexron IID
  8. Don't you trust the word of an actual qualified tester. FWIW the company's L200 was in for testing at the time of our conversation and he pointed out that the extra reflectors factory fitted to that weren't necessary either. Now it may well be that the regulations in other countries require reflectors independent of the rear light cluster... Niamh
  9. If I bought this cover would I just replicate the max power, idle and max speed settings using a vernier? Or could they be different with a different cover? Niamh
  10. And who makes propshafts for Britpart? Last standard front prop I fitted was stamped GKN. Niamh
  11. Nonetheless I spoke to one of the testers at our local indie and he assured me that the reflectors in the light cluster are all that is required for the MoT. Niamh.
  12. Sure but I don't want to strip everything down and find out I do need a spindle so best to get one in before starting. Niamh
  13. They're between the stop/tail and indicators on all our 300TDIs Niamh
  14. So I've found the relevant "how to" posting and I think I'm good to go so just need to get the parts in, I think I need- Spindle bush 1460324333 Spindle O ring 1460210008 Throttle cover gasket 1461015302 And perhaps a spindle as well but I can't find that part number. Anyone know what it is? If it matters it's a '96 EGR pump but there is no EGR anymore. Niamh
  15. Whilst folk like to blame Britpart for many woes I don't think they can be held responsible for incompetent MoT inspectors Niamh
  16. There are reflectors in the tail light cluster. Niamh
  17. Blank it off with a sutable screw, silicone sealer and pipe clip. Niamh
  18. But that means one can use M12 bolts instead of the original M10. Niamh
  19. Neither listed at all anywhere in EPC/Unicat for any vehicle, the former is actually FRC3602 & the latter BT606101L. Niamh
  20. I nicked an inspection camera from work. and by poking it over the chassis rail we eventually managed to read the number but only after rubbing the top of the numbers with a china-graph pencil to help them stand out! Niamh
  21. OK, so how does one read the serial nomber on the box with the Disco parked on the drive? Niamh
  22. OK, different bearing/bush. But is it 8566L or LFB500050 on a 96 300TDi? Niamh
  23. The bearing's in the AP kit isn't it? Niamh
  24. No switched fused live? Any idea which fuse the purple goes to? Is necessary I could always relay it. Niamh
