Single button fob
Looking at the wiring diagram in Haynes it appears that this drivers door actuator controls the other 4 doors but there seems to be nothing the fires this actuator itself!
Despite the harness having a 6 pin connector there are only 4 wires going to it-
Black Earth
Yellow/Pink ??? Not shown in Haynes
Orange Feed to other actuators
Pink Feed to other Actuators
The wiring diagram suggests that if the drivers door actuator isn't working properly they they won't lock, is that correct on this system?
From the diagram there is no input to trigger this actuator, unles it's the mysterious Yellow/Pink wire, what does this wire do?
With a 12v bensh supply can I test the actuator to see if it operates?
Remove the solenoid and take off the pin and spring and put the solonoid back.
Will it start then?
NB the only way to stop the engine having done this is to stall it.

And to conclude this The diagnostics seem to have been right on the money.
Replaces the stop solenoid just over a week ago and no more "Check Engine" light
Niamh
And anyone want to bet on whether replacing the solonoid will cure it?
But which STC3254 or RTC6702?
And I suspect the detail as mentioned in http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=44138entry409587 might be useful to do a swap if someone can help me with that?
OK diagnostics show-
THERE IS ONE FAULT STORED IN THE ELECTRONIC DIESEL CONTROLS (EDC) FAULT CODE MEMORY WHICH IS -:
FUEL CUTOFF SOLENOID FAULT, INVALID VALUE, MAJOR FAULT, FAULT LOGGED, INTERMITTENT
(RPM = 98, WATER TEMP = 82)
OCCURANCES = 58.
Well we got home!
Not put it on the diagnostics yet, however if the engine is cold when started it's fine ( no revs surge and no light) but if its warm when started the symtoms reoccur!
Niamh
On starting the revs surge for a brief instant and the check engine light comes on and stays on
But driving seems normal after that.
Any ideas given were currently SE of Paris and all the diagnostic kit is at home in West Wales!
Hoping to be able to get back on Monday!
