Your mig would do it you would only need to get gas, aluminium wire and a Teflon liner for your mig torch, it can be a pain to set up but doable, have done this in the past before I bought my tig Regards Stephen

You can pick stuff up reasonably if your patient This set up cost me £235 second hand, Butters welders are quite high end so was happy to pay this A 10 litre bottle of pure argon costs me £70 for the gas with a one off bottle deposit, refundable, of £80 So not that bad if you compare it to farming work out Could probably have not needed to bother buying this set up as I have a tig, but it just makes my welding set up more versatile if you get what I mean Regards Stephen

Bloody predictive text... Now corrected.... Regards Stephen

Wire feed and power are controlled on the gun, been after a spool gun for a while for dedicated use as you stated It has 4 power settings I had it on 2 for a quick play with the gasless wire that was already in it, welded 3mm no problem, the only problem being I don't like gasless wire Regards Stephen

Couple of jobs knocked off yesterday Floor plates drilled and rivinuted Recovery points fitted to rear crossmember This is where I'm at today, sorting out fitting roll cage, new attachment points to make for the front, plus the addition of a bar across where the windscreen demister vents go and a better arrangement at the cross member at the back of the seats Regards Stephen -

It is nice but if I wanted something like that I would make it out of materials I'm more comfortable with, in this case aluminium, also it's probably lighter. Also @miketomcat has enough on his plate at the moment........possibly !! Regards Stephen -

I have shortened a canvas and put a new window in rear flap before, however both done with a conventional sewing machine which quite honestly is not up to the job. I have made the vinyl seat covers and backs for my 2A lightweight I also unsuccessfully searched for canvas to have a go at making my own, does anyone know a supplier ? If I can get the canvas I may have a go at making my own Regards Stephen
