  3. Dates, great I don't suppose September/ October dates are out soon ??? Looking at my Rota Saturday is out but Sunday isnt, will need to see if I can arrange anything as it would be an 800 mile round trip for one day Regards Stephen
  4. I like that idea it would also prevent brake line from getting crushed Regards Stephen
  5. I hope so, final flexing to be done soonish, front shocks to fit and pan hard rod to sort first Regards Stephen
  6. I know, I know, I know...... Electrickery coming shortly.... Regards Stephen
  7. Other side done and brake pipe fitted, have some P clips coming so might drill and tap 1st skin of axle to secure brake pipes better Regards Stephen
  8. Shocker fitted, you don't want to know how much trouble that caused me......should have left the tub off lol Regards Stephen
  9. One side of the rear axle done, unfortunately I didn't allow enough wiggle room for the brake pipe so will need to order a longer one tomorrow but the good news is it will fit the other side Regards Stephen
  10. I get where your going with that. I accepted a new role at work and went from 8hr days to 12-15hr days through the week and 4-6hrs on a weekend and on call, had no tinkering time at all. The works closed a few years later and I relocated to Scotland and back to a good work life balance and a valuable lesson learnt. If I had stayed in that position non of my projects would have happened, I took a step back and got my life back, have never regretted it regards Stephen
  11. This to me is your biggest issue, the reality is the newer offerings are less DIY and more expensive to sort, also the others you mentioned also have eye wateringly expensive needs. On a personal level I would look to upgrade your existing comfort levels in the 110 ( sure Ed Poore put range rover seats in his 110 ) and find a balance between reasonable maintenance cost and increased comfort that is assuming you still want to tinker a wee bit with your 110 I think I would explore a few avenues to keep the 110 rather than sell it and then deeply regret it later on when other vehicles don't come up to expectations Hope that makes sense regards Stephen
  12. No, standard configuration on the rear axle Regards Stephen
  13. Struggling to find some of these push comes to shove I can buy new brake pipes from Llama 4x4, they are pleasantly reasonably priced regards Stephen
  14. Never heard of them will have a look thanks regards Stephen
  15. Yes I'm aware of that, have 90 degree ones for the master cylinder, the reality is I should have made the pipes up with sacrificial brake pipe and this would have given me the angles, but they are working so not too worried regards Stephen
  16. Just put the wheel back on, thought I'd best try because it looked like brake pipes might rub Thankfully they don't, but a bit more securing with cable ties won't hurt All nice and tight in there Regards Stephen
  17. Bit of Mog work this morning Started putting caliper brackets and calipers On with an added bit of brake pipe fitting But first I had to clean disc up Regards Stephen
  18. Plumbing would be about 3% of use, I have a very limited supply of oxy/ acetylene which I use only when I absolutely have to. So going by what you guys are telling me Rothenburger or Mapp torches would do find but my go to gas would need to be mapp gas due to it burning hotter Regards Stephen
  19. Would you recommend the mapp one Peter regards Stephen
  20. Ok I guess my next question would be, if you smashed it would you replace like for like... What's it like at heating steel up ? Regards Stephen
