  9. Not much done today as on nightshift Pieces for door cut You get the idea Cleaning up then welding together, but not today Regards Stephen
  10. It does'nt age harden but it does work harden, compressing the copper washer every time it is tightened up is work hardening, annealing the washer will soften it to allow it to compress easier again regards Stephen
  11. Thanks very much to @Hybrid_From_Hell for helping me get this through the post today I was very impressed with the food whisk demonstration in the new forum section, figured "climbing oil" would be ideal for my diff conversion to ensure plenty of oil on all moving parts Regards Stephen

  13. Bang on Well one door at the moment, the other one is already made entirely out of aluminium about 15 years ago could probably do with making again but neater, some point in the future methinks Regards Stephen

Had a bit play with spool welder running aluminium wire this morning That's not good Polarity change and some fine tuning with settings inside corner, you can see it didnt start great due to using the settings i had for the outside corner, upped the power a bit and the rest of the weld much better well happy, just means it will be easier than tig when doing on vehicle repairs Regards Stephen
