  1. Will it be Ok to just come along for the Sunday? If it is how much for the day? Pete.
  2. As has been said before good that you got out ok, Totally gutting to lose the truck Pete.
  3. The transfer box fill plug on the side is also the level indicator, basically fill it till it just starts to run out of the hole and that's your level. On the auto box you did check it with the gearbox cold, the engine running box in neutral ( having slowly cycled the shift through the gears a couple of times) didn't you . Other wise the level will be reading high but actually be correct. HTH Pete.
  4. I think you are thinking of HID lights. can't help more than that. Pete.
  5. Try David at LLAMA 4x4. Nice Bloke and easy to deal with plus you get a forum discount. Pete.
  6. I got my bits from RS. 6mm nylon tube and stainless fittings to replace the banjo's. Also might be worth looking at extending the fuel tank breather. Pete.
  7. I think that some people have moved the oil cooler up to clear the top of the winch and then had a local hydraulics company make up some flexible hoses to run from the autobox to the cooler. Beyond that I can't help. Pete.
  8. Evening Lawrence, Sorry for the delay had a bit of a water pump issue. Here are some photo's of the Autobox Oil cooler as promised. The distance from the Rad Frame to the back of the Oil Cooler is 41/2" and the distance from the centre of the bolt that mounts the oil cooler to the body work to top of the chassis rail is 4". Have sent the Pics etc via email as well. Hope this helps. Pete.
  9. Morning, Have (I think as my email is playing up) replied to your email. Will get pics and dimensions this evening. The Start inhibit is done via a switch on the gearbox (IIRC it is on the nearside of the box near the top). Can't help with the loom differences. HTH Pete.
  10. Can't comment on the towing MPG but the 28mpg sounds about right for that sort of driving. Pete.
  11. My 120,000+ miles 300TDi Discovery Auto was EDC and now is on a mechanical pump (which is only very mildly tweaked) and a 1.2:1 tbox (but only 30" tyres) and that goes pretty well (certainly no worse than when it was EDC) so I would say that if yours has been tweaked that much it will go pretty well. HTH Pete.
  12. Have you checked that there is not mud stuck to the inside of the rims, as this can cause this. HTH Pete.
  13. I may be getting over sensitive to the bad press 4x4's get these days but surely a picture of a group of fast cars would sit better in this article. BBC Article Pete.
  14. Mine does the same ,also a 300TDi Auto. Mine is definately leaking ATF so I am going to replace the gearbox output shaft seal (P/n RTC4650). Not sure what else is involved will find out when I do the job. Pete.
  15. Not sure if it helps but the bobtail has a large sticker on the side that says WWW.BRUNELPERFORMANCE.COM. Pete.
  16. No it's a seperate pump its behind the headlight under the plate that would be the bottom of the battery tray if there was a battery on that side. Put your hand through one of the two holes and you should be able to find it. Pete.
  17. There several pipes under the bonnet they run from the actuator on the offside inner wing to the pump which is under the bottle jack on the nearside inner wing, they run around/above the back of the engine. There is a T near the brake master cylinder that runs to the brake pedal. Pete.
  18. The list also states that the second contacts in the 50091 come on at 92 and go off at 87 which sounds familiar. Pete.
  19. According to the list above 50250 comes on at 86 and goes off at 76. At least that's what I can see. Pete.
  20. Thank you kindly, Didn't really think it would be a challenge Pete.
  21. Can anyone tell me the part number for the Gearbox output shaft oilseal for a ZF auto box please. The seal between the Gearbox and the Transfer box. It's fitted to a 300TDi Discovery of 1996 vintage (TA chassis number) Cheers in advance, Pete.
  22. I'm with Bill on this one, I had a similar vibe on the rear of my discovery and after reading else where on here Bill's suggestion of moving the the three bolt bushings to the front of the bracket I tried it on mine and it has completely cured the vibes. Pete.
  23. The EGR system was fitted to reduce emissions not increase the longevity of the engine. when they fail they tend to allow hot exhuast gas in to the inlet tract all the time, making the engine less efficient and also clogging the inlet tract with a thick black sludge thus restricting the airflow. By removing the EGR and cleaning the inlet tract the engine gets to work properly again hense the improvements in performance and drop in fuel consumption. HTH Pete.
  24. Google is your friend Here a few to try:- http://www.twistedperformance.co.uk/ http://www.allardturbosport.co.uk/ http://www.jeengineering.co.uk/index.htm http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/stoppress/powerbox.htx http://www.bell-auto-services.co.uk/ HTH Pete. edited to add the following. I also have a spare injection pump, ECU, Boost capsule and AFM if you are interested. I took them off mine (it has done 120000 miles) when I changed it over to a mechanical pump. Any sensible offer accepted. Pete.
  25. Yes there is a gearbox breather but I can't tell you where it is on yours. Pete.
