  1. Any chance of a better piccie of the connector? Is it threaded or a bayonet type? If it is threaded it may be a TNC connector as they are roughly those dimensions IIRC. HTH Pete.
  2. When I originally fitted the guard to mine I made the centre section removable and retained the rest of the lower spoiler and the fog lights etc, Sorry no pics. I had no problems removing any of the bolts on mine but I don't think mine had seen any mud/water before I got it so I may have been lucky. Pete.
  3. mines just passed it's mot no problem with front and rear indicators and the stop/tail lights all LED. Pete.
  4. I have a similar one to freeagent on mine (also cost about £80) i think i got it from paddocks. HTH Pete
  5. Not sure if these will help> Pictures of the injector pump on my 1996 Auto disco. Stop solenoid and electronic module Connector Electronic module. Sorry not the best photo's but it was dark outside. HTH Pete.
  6. Did a google search and found this about turbo exhaust design taken from a garret engineer. Turbo Exhaust. HTH Pete.
  7. I would also be interested to know why a lack of back pressure would cause a turbo to go pop as I had heard that back pressure was the enemy of a turbo. On my disco I removed the back box and brought the tail pipe out the side (to stop it hitting things offroad) and I found that it made absolutely no difference to the performance. I have heard that making a 3" system can improve performance but have yet to have had the funds and time to try this. Pete.
  8. I would have thought it would be easier to use a 90 defender chassis and put the shortend disco body on it. just my 2p Pete.
  9. I have not yet fitted any to the disco but had a set mounted on the roll hoop on an L200 pickup (so behind the cab) and I found that down country lanes and back roads they were great. I did have them wired to high beam but fitted a switch to isolate them as in some situations they were a liability, most notably when fog was down to top of hedge height but you needed high beam to see the road as the roof lights reflected off the fog. Pete.
  10. As LR90 says sounds to me like an earth fault. I think the starter motor was trying to earth through a unsuitable small wire in your loom and it was un-able to cope with the current required. Hth Pete
  11. On the disco it is definately two speakers and you do have to be careful about getting the phasing correct with the as they do quite effectively cancel each other out if you get it wrong. Pete.
  12. I also do much the same as luke but i tend to bleed all four corners after I get clean fluid at a rear corner. Pete.
  13. I guess the insides looked something like this. 300 TDi Cat Pete.
  14. These threads might help Subwoofer thread similar thread from an inferior forum Both are disco related but i would imagine the stereo wiring is similar. The amp on mine (again a disco) was dead so I have installed a small alpine amp in the rear door and run a phone lead the length of the car to supply a signal. HTH Pete.
  15. Not sure if they do parts and have not used them myself but this lot might be worth a call. L.E.G.S and they are closer to you than Turners. Have used turners in the past found them to be excellent. Pete.
  16. Just a thought but have you checked that the kickdown cable is set correctly? Pete.
  17. Good result and an easy fix. Pete.
  18. The Search button is your friend, Air intake this just one thread I am sure there are other's if you look. HTH Pete
  19. Also one of the features in the listing is auto breaking which doesn't bode well as it can break itself with out you using it. Pete
  20. Sounds to me like the dash bulb has blown as on mine I get both the normal indicator light and the trailer light. Sorry I don't know the bulb part number but I am sure that someone will be along with the info soon. Pete
  21. Welcome to the forum, I think that Bogmonster was trying to establish wether or not the dash light works with the hazards switched on rather the indicators as this would establish wether the bulb in the dash had blown or if it was another problem. HTH Pete.
  22. If you want to mount the fan as shown in the photo above you will want a puller fan. If you want to mount the fan in front of the rad you will be wanting a pusher fan. Hth Pete.
  23. not sure but this might help steering damper thread Hth Pete
  24. This might help. spring rates etc HTH Pete.
  25. Cheers ff, I have already had a play with the spring calc (see post edit) and tried to work backwards assuming a standard ride height of 10ish inches at the front and 11.5ish inches at the back and then used the numbers for the standard disco 1 springs to give very approximate sprung weights.. Pete.
