My Speedo in the ibex (standard disco 1 at the time) read 70mph actual was 57mph at the IVA test. Still a legal pass though mind only just.

Don't mix blue and red but not sure about orange.

It also blanks off the leaking side so you don't just pump fluid on the floor. I can switch to a 300tdi master cylinder and delete the valve but I'm trying to avoid that for now.

Does anyone know what thread the plastic switch is that screws into the bottom of the shuttle valve. Its the valve thats fitted on the bulkhead of early 110s. Mines weeping but the switch is no longer used so was thinking some sort of bung. Especially when the valve is around £200

Looks like the door card needs trimming just above the waistline to allow it to sit back properly.

Hey Hoss any updates to this? I just now am getting ready to test fit the om648 in my c304! I need pics of your engine placement to help! haha. I will most likely be cutting out the vacuum tank to make room for the LT230 transfer case.
We need a build thread of yours too.

Well I'll be at summer and seven sisters anyway so it works for me and they are great weekends. September is slightly more social if we sort a bbq between day and night runs.

I believe they drive differently (info from a friend). The tdci has spud shaft issues between gear and transfer box. The td5 has oil in the loom issues (though I think this was earlier ones). The dashboards are very different tdci has a good heater and better clocks etc but no flaps and leg room issues. Td5 has the age old dash though upgraded, acceptable heater but does have flaps, better leg room but old style clocks etc.

One of the horse box manufacturers uses lr bolt pattern but can't remember which.

Mine were just generic seatbelts off eBay which should fit straight onto the early style mount (lap belt goes down to the corner of the seatbox) but will need different brackets to fit I think 300tdi on (lap belt is part of the reel bracket).

Would it not be easier to change the whole seat belt I bought some i think 4m belts for the ibex because the 3m standard belts were a bit snug.

Finally someone doing some nice looking arches. Just a shame I don't have a defender anymore.

Two things I learnt when I used chains in Norway.
1. Max speed of 30mph (nowhere near quick enough for driving in Norway when others are on studded tyres)
2. You have to remove them as soon as you see any tarmac poking through the ice on the road.
We did over a thousand miles when there and only used the chains once for about 10 miles then gave up on them.

Our 110 csw (200tdi) gets 25-30mpg. The 25 is daily running around the 30 is on a long run at a steady 60-65mph. Our 110 has a roof rack and this costs about 3 mpg but ours is a patriot so something like a brownchurch will cost more.

With the top off it should be ok but with the top on and sides/back open you will have problems.

There about £12 on eBay.

The black one is r380 (I have a mould for them). The green looks lt85. Neither of them are lt77 that much is certain. Fridge had one (green one) in his ambulance (v8) and couldn't work out why the carpet set and gearsticks (had an r380 fitted at some point) didn't sit right. I made him a r380 tunnel and all was fixed.

I've never had one move on a 200tdi so I suspect you have a duff cable. Given they're not expensive I'd put a new one on.

Foers have been building ibex for 30 years so land rover was a no brainer. But where they go form here I don't know, having said that with the aftermarket availability for land rovers they've got time.

Make absolutely sure your on the green lane as there are a lot of tracks on the plain. It has been know for vehicles to be confiscated and crushed if found off the byways. Although the byways are generally well marked and the are a few permitted routes close to or instead of the actual byway.

Jack the wheel up to wobble it. I had a swivel bearing go a few years ago and you couldn't tell till I jacked it up.

Brake Shuttle valve
in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)

The only thing that concerns me about bypassing it is the 300tdi master has 3 ports and no shuttle valve. We're as the pre 300 has 2 ports and a shuttle valve. There must be a reason for this. I'm sure I read some where it closes the leaking side but maybe wrong.
