  1. They aren't cheap Mick but seen a couple on eBay for the cost of a few main dealer visits. What function do the Modis "Personality Keys" perform chaps? Anyone know what software version would be needed to interrogate a L322?
  2. Hi all, I think my Mrs has finally made her mind up on what the next car is going to be, in all probability a TDV8 L322. This will be the first LR product I've had since removing the Td5 from my defender with the ability to carry out diagnostics, in anticipation of this I'd appreciate knowing what software / readers people are using to read & reset fault codes?
  3. Try this from the AA http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/about_aa/badges.html
  4. I'll take one as well please Simon. Let me know how you want paying please. Mick.
  5. Why not fit one of these to control your fan(s)? You can keep your switch to override it if you wish?
  6. Polish the block to a mirror finish, fill the bores with coal then sell it to the Tate Modern. Job done.
  7. ^^^ Yep, I have Cobra "Monaco Pro" seats in my 110. As Phil says they are comfortable once your in there & they do stop you sliding around the cab but getting in & out can be fun, especially when you have 35" tyres & a suspension lift. The Mrs can't get in mine. It's great.
  8. I've done something similar. I went from Td5 to 4.6 but it is manual not auto.
  9. Cheers chaps. Are the Disco 3s as susceptible to tin worm? Not even sure if the 3 has a "normal" chassis, or is it the 4 that doesn't? Disco 2 Disco 3 RR RRS Wish she'd make her mind up
  10. I hadn't Simon as I didn't realise they were in budget. Don't know why but I'd prefer a "proper" range rover so will have a good look.
  11. I need to purchase a new car for the Mrs & to date have been considering a Disco 2 or 3. Have just realised that RR "Sport" models can be purchased within budget (£17K max would prefer <£15K) but I know bugger all about them. She needs a 4x4 because of where we live but it will never be used off road in the traditional sense so not bothered about mud plugging ability. Would be looking at a Dieseal so I guess TDV6 possibly the TDV8. Any owners on here?
  12. Ah, hadn't considered that. Had assumed there was a valve or something inside the plastic body?
  13. Cheers for that. +1c here today with about 5mm of snow, you'd be walking around in your boxers!
  14. Gent's, I'm thinking about buying a Disco for the Mrs, probably a Disco 2. I was talking to an owner at the weekend who was warning against purchasing one in a certain date range (I can't recall the dates) as they were prone to cam tensioner problems. Can anyone confirm if this is the case (or refute it) & if so what were the years to avoid? Thanks.
  15. Chaps, As above the rave manual shows what it calls a Y Piece Ejector as part of the coolant system (connects to the header tank). Any chance of a part number please? Thanks.
  16. Cheers chaps will have a crawl under. Not sure there is enough room for a t piece Bowie. Edit: Found a remote mounted T with braided stainless flexy. Wasn't aware they existed so thanks Bowie.
  17. Hi all, I'm sure this is a FAQ but I have searched without success. I want to install an oil pressure gauge on my 4.6 but I don't want to loose the existing switch & warning light on the dash, is there another port on the engine I can use for the transducer? I've had a good look around the back of the water pump & under the alternator (near the existing switch) but can't see anything obvious. Thanks, Mick.
