Or that's how I justified to the Missus..
  2. Thanks for the heads up Mark... Would have stumped me for days or weeks ! Neil
  3. Sounds a bit like my Panhard rod woes Chris..... I know you will have eliminated that choice but gave me the opportunity to mention my 100% record of vehicle problems when out driving with you ! (I'll be bringing spare panhard to Lakes because I know I'm going to blow it ! ) Neil
  4. There has to be a joke in there somewhere about your previous choice of lady friend...... I'm sure Nige or Fridge will sort it all out.... Coat on, door closing......
  5. Live on a hill, but not a particularly hilly area, rarely tow..... Generally pull away in 2nd gear now and revving at approx. 3k at 70MPH... I recon the engine is good for the lower evs without having foot onthe floor all the time.. (Except I do that cuz I like the noise now..) Thanks for the guidance.. 1.22 it looks like then.... Do the RR and Disco ones literally replace current with no lever changes etc ? Neil
  6. Thanks James and Ralph.... Now to compile a list of required parts for the Classifieds section..... Neil
  7. Is it possible? Has it been done ? I have a RPI Piper high torque cam going into the 3.9 EFi soon. I'm wondering if I can make use of the extra torque and lower the revs a little on the longer runs.... May improve the MPG a smidge and save the planet ! Your views please.... Neil
  8. And if you could.... (Sorry JST.. Not trying to hijack, just wonder if people can answer both in one....) Would a 300TDi airbox be good enough for a 3.9 V8? (Part number ESR2102) (Ralph.. Trash if I've been a naughty boy..) Neil
  9. Ged, Sounds like you need a day-trip to the UK.... Neil
  10. Welcome Tonka.... Nice truck, and it's all one colour ! I can speak from experience that the people in here know what they are talking about (In the main, and then they let people like me in...) You got loads of room in that garage for repairs and "improvements".. Look nice. Neil
  11. I recon Tony still has the winner there..
  12. Ok.. Just trying to help..... Just managed to miss the clues in the title....
  13. Me thinking of the wrong part Ged.... Good Job the others knew what you meant ! LOL Neil
  14. I'm with the Camel on this one.... If it's not leaking it's empty.. Time to go under and fill everything up again....
  15. Doesn't sound right Ged.. All of the posts I've seen where others have completed the change over have had the tabs and each person has used these tabs to bolt the cross-member in place to get alignment and then weld up on the chassis rails. Is your parts man able to challenge and get you a replacement with tabs ? Neil
  16. Woss wrong with good ole Unleaded.... There is unlikely to be a viable network for E85 for years... Like LPG, engine manufacturers are not all committed to it so we are un-likely to see it in common network distritbution for a long time..... Like BBC said a few messages back, we won't make a gnats difference while China is opening up 5 coal fired power stations per week! We'd all be better off re-cycling to minimise landfill in Blighty (More room for off-road venues) keeping our countryside somewhat natural and wait til the new poluters of the modern world are in a position to be as riteous as us and reign back their carbon emissions.... (I'd be happier to consider doing more if the USA actually played in this game at all... Make agreements for 2020 and then promptly do nothing and even withdraw former commitments.... Yeah... (Oh my bad.. It was an election year then wasn't it... Err.. Votes or the planet...) Neil
  17. If it helps.... I have one of these spare available for loan / helping to eliminate problems, but not for sale... I offer it to help diagnosis as I have run it in my V8 3.9 EFi and works well. I'm in Dorchetser area for half-term with family etc. w/c 22nd October but can happily make arrangements with you to meet during that week.... My 110 is likely to be having it's tonsils tickled in Bournmouth during that week, (Cam change) so I could share where it will be in hiding if that's easier for you to collect from Bournmouth without having to meet another forum member... Let me know if it's likely to help you , knowing no knobs to twiddle and known to be in good working order.... Neil
  18. Yup.. MPG sounds about right for a nice thirsty V8..... Being nice to it I can get 20, average presently running at 16 and off-road days I'm getting 14..... I recon if I blat it around all the time I could happily achieve single digit MPG.... Neil
  19. Looked on his site Nige and he's not advertising kits/bearings and seals.. Have written and awaiting a response...
  20. We did wonder....... Thanks for the first lead Les....
  21. A friend, sometimes on here as Bogstandard, known to some as Rupert who accompanied my on 30th December outing last year, has an SJ 410 he uses around his farm for things like slug pelleting. After a few years of running around with no brakes, one of his swivel joints at the front totally caved in. He bought a set of axles for £60 and installed. (Still not bothered to hook up brakes !) One of the swivel joints has some play in the replacement axle and we cannot locate anyone selling kits or parts new.... Anyone got any suggestions or know of any good people to call ? Thanks in advance.. Neil
  22. Err.. took some time, but I recon it translates to "Maybe", but we are talking big money....
  23. Mmmm... All of a sudden MS becomes a little more appealing.... I would never have the patience to go through what Nige did, but for £40 and payment for some assistance, I could be tempted to consider pulling things together ready for an attempt..... (Is this the 2008 plan me wonders.... Or do I slip a 4.6 in first ! )
  24. Fridge.... Is anyone commercially making looms for MS in 110/90's? (or is Nige going into production?) Neil
