  1. Hi, I've got a leaking fuel tank, looks to be coming from the top somewhere as it only happens when I fill the truck right up. Has anyone had the diesel tank off of a 200tdi 110? is it all done from underneath? any tips to make this go smoothly? should I change the filler neck while I am there. Can any one give me the part number for the correct tank please. Thanks Mark
  2. Done now, Thanks I wasn't sure how much of the cross brace to unbolt (to get to the back of the B posts). It was, as I expected, a right pain to line up the bolts through the cross brace with the chassis brackets.
  3. HI Has any one had the b posts apart to effect a repair, if so any tips on how to proceed with this please?
  4. A few here, http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=94490&hl= but could post more if you are interested Steve
  5. We've just returned from Scotland and had a good day driving the logging tracks in the Galloway national park, it is also a dark skies park so wild camping is good there. There is also a nice beach just outside Dunbar where we have wild camped a couple of times.
  6. So, I now have the kit, can anyone give me any pointers here http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=94553 on how it goes together please.
  7. So, having forked out over £100 for RTC 6065 a plastic bag has arrived with an assortment of fixings, trouble is mine were so badly rusted that some bits had disintegrated while others had to be cut off. I now have no real idea of how this lot is meant to fit together, does any one have a schematic please or can someone at least give me some pointers how it all goes? Thanks Mark
  8. Thanks for this Ralph, the anchor plates are the only bits I have been able to salvage, its the fitting kits I need. Mark
  9. So next question, anybody know where they can be found for less than £100 ish +vat?
  10. Thanks Michael, that is the very beast.
  11. Does any one have a part(s) number(s) for the d ring, bolt, bush spacer and tab washer which go through the rear floor on a 200tdi station wagon so that the seat belts can clip on. Many thanks Mark
  12. Thanks everyone I'm running a stock 200tdi, which I like but would like to spread the power band and have a bit more oomph on hills. I'm not in for swapping to a different type of engine but not above having an engine overhaul.
  13. There are a few tracks where it is authorised vehicles only, where active logging is taking place, otherwise it was pretty free.
  14. Does any one have experience of these on older engines? I have a high mileage 200tdi, if I were to fit one should I have the engine rebuilt first to help with the extra strain?
  15. Happy to send you a copy of our road book when I finish it and let you know what the campsites are like. Are you going in a group or just 1 car?
  16. Cold at night but we were really lucky with the weather during the day. No I arranged it myself, looking at what people charge for organised tours perhaps I should get into the business LOL, although I can understand the need for local Knowledge and a native speaker if going to some far off hostile land!
  17. Just returned from a top trip wild camping in Scotland. Plenty of tracks to drive in the Galloway national park.
  18. I'm planning a club trip to do this next summer so would be interested to hear how you get on.
  19. I'm leading a group across the French Alps at the end of Aug, I'll let you know how it goes, where are you going?
  20. Possibly Military signal red but always difficult to say from a computer screen but you could contact http://www.paintman.co.uk/product-category/paint/landrover-paint-reds/ 01777 710100. I have found these to be very helpful and they sent me a swatch card with a bit of each red on to help identify the colour (mine is Masai red).
  21. Thanks for the reply, this is the rout I've decided to go down.
