  1. My 110 with roof rack does around 27 combined, recent 800 mile round trip mainly motorway 65 mph (ish) returned 28 mpg, I need a lighter right boot LOL.
  2. Nige, before you put your anorak away can I get the benefit of your experience please. Mines a 110 SW (200 TDI) and I am fitting a winch bumper, roof tent and some other bits with the intention of doing some overland stuff. I was going to fit flatdog +1" higher poundage (=15%) springs and terrafirma big bore shocks. I will prob be doing some off roading but need the car to behave on long motorway journeys. Any thoughts? Thanks Mark
  3. I'm thinking of outing the middle rear seat and putting a fridge in the gap, which make you thinking of Wes?
  4. does any one know if the 2" lift will affect steering geometry?

  7. Hi Im looking for a cubby box for my 110 station wagon (200TDI), any one got any recommendations (or which should I avoid!). Thanks Mark
  8. I'm guessing they are carling type, if so try here http://www.raptor-engineering.co.uk/dash-accessories/20-amp-on-off-switch or here http://www.devon4x4.com/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=1013195&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=14 you should be able to get decals as well.
  9. Mine is stuck to some 6mm soundproofing and doesnt move
  10. I use these on my classic cars and they are excellent but I think it would be a pain taking the seat up to remove the knob every time you park in town. I have fitted a battery isolator to the front of the defenders battery box, a bit more effort to fit but much more likely to be used IMHO.
  11. Direct from the battery is probably easiest but you must put an in line fuse holder as close as you can to the pos terminal and it goes without saying that the fuse must be of a lower rating than the cable. Mark
  12. Hi I have a T max split charger like this one http://www.paddockspares.com/ba2685-t-max-split-charge-system.html kicking around the workshop previously installed in a now defunct RR classic. I thought I might fit it to my 110 CSW but I have lost the instructions, can any one help with a copy please?
  13. Thanks, I reckon that the truck will have larger wheels/ tyres, what is the biggest tyre size I could use with standard suspension set up?
  14. Hi, I'm thinking of buying a 91 110 station wagon. It has a 2" lift on it, can anyone tell me whats involved in returning it to standard please?
  15. Havent used my P38 4.6 this week and the battery was flat when I went to use it today. Used the door key to get the car open, put the key in the ignition, openned the bonnet and inadvertantly knocked the door shut, connected to a spare battery and clunk, central locking fired. Now locked out with keys in the ignition, spare keys done a complete vanishing act! anyone know how I can get in, PLEEEEASE! Mark
  16. Ok found some cartridges on flea bay but there are several different codes, anyone know which one fits the p38?
  17. So you dont feel too strongley either way then Nige? LOL Mark
  18. I have to agree here having put a Britpart rad on my classic last year, had a nightmare trying to line up the brackets, got it to fit somehow and a couple of weeks later one of the top mounting brackets simply gave up and became detatched from the rad, I knew then that I should have had the original re cored, ah well.
  19. Hi After the untimely demise of my Shogun I have decided to 'upgrade' my old (1985) classic to a P38. Got what seems to be a nice 4.6 HSE, a few hundred miles in and all seems to work ok. It has , however, come without the cartridge for the multiplayer, can anyone help? Regards Mark
  20. Hi, Ive got a Tmax split charge but have lost the destructions, has anyone got a set they could email to me please?
  21. quite agree My 85 RR classic has 5 Triumphs for company including a mk3 GT6 and 2 TR7s Mark
  22. If you get into a position where you are disconnecting the battery regularly you can invest in a product called dis carnect which has a knoh that you screw out leaving the battery disconnected. Either partially undo it to isolate the battery and prevent earth leaks or remove altogether to use as a basic immobiliser, we have half a dozen classic cars and all have these fitted. Mark
  23. I fitted my leisure battery as a second battery about 4000 miles ago. I had just fitted a new radiator but I lopped the bracket off and never got to refitting it. No problems to report so far.
