Hi Ralf
Just had a look - picture posted by Diesel Jim shows two wires, green with trace which I have wired up to the reversing switch and they terminate into a plug. The red/slate and black wires I have are fitted with spade recepticals on the ends.
I may however be looking at the wrong pictures, the gear box is an R380.
I have landed up with two spare wires next to the gear / transfer box. One is slate with red trace and the other is black.
I have had a look at RAV and it tells me that these are of oil temperature – don’t remember having oil temperature but RAV says C219 for oil temp.
My question is, do these pug into a fixed temp sender or into flying leads as I cannot find what they plug into. Or are they used.

Got there before me, so it is for the dim dip Ralf so I will need it, I take it that there is only one which does both sides as I cant remember seeing one on the other side.
Thank you for all your help.

For the life of me I can not remember what it was connected to. Wish I did as I would like to know what to plug it into or do I need it. It looks like an original part.

Hi all found this thing on the passenger’s side front wing just behind the skin and secured to the inner wing. Do you know what it is and does?

Frax.
Can you t-cut enamel paint to give it a better shine or will it just dull the paint down.
Just painting my Defender and some parts have come out quite dull compared to other bits and I just wondering if a good T-Cut would help.

I must have a 2 ¼ L petrol air box from a 90 laying about somewhere but I can not remember what it looks like but if that is any good, I am away till next Wednesday but will have a look for it when I get home if it going to be any good to you.

I got the Raptor dash which has lots of room and really well made, Phil at Raptor is very helpful and will make any part or size you require for the covers.
I have just started fitting my one and found it to be pretty straight forward.
Lots of room for all the wiring even with the CB and Radio and in my opinion they look the dogs B’s

Can you buy the material that covers the headliner ?
I did my one with spray glue for carpets and it has held really well but the backing needs to be in good condition, if it has been damp the fiber may have separated and wont hold with glue as it will just part and drop down.
Removed my headling and glued camping mats to the roof to cut down on condensation which helps keep the damp out.

This could be a really stupid question but here goes.
I have just got myself some Carling switches and have ordered stickers to put? On the window or behind it?
Do the windows pop out and if so do you just prise them open or do the stickers go on the front.
Don't want to bust one just to find out so thought I had better ask.

For F sake thats not a tolarance or not in my mind anyway. I did know that they were bad but not that bad.
I will need to measure my tub now just out of interest when I get home (away for two weeks)

Well adjusted it today and set the gap at 882mm bottom and top of tub which should give 5mm - 7mm for door seal but will adjust again when I get round to fitting the doors.
Thank you for all the replies.

I did measure it all up as it was going together and they were both the same gap so fitted the seat box and support at floor lever from tub to bulkhead. It was all going well I thought till I want to fit the gear box tunnel, I then noticed it did not sit quite right so measured again and found that something had moved. I will loosen it all again and try and re-adjust.
Is there a set measurement for the gap ?

If the bulkhead connection is OK, Would it be possible to check for voltage at the connector-failing that check for continuity in the cable going the the rear.
