i have to say, not all accidents are recorded. ive seen LOADS of bent cars and a a few bent landys on eBay which are unrecorded so ignore dvla but hopefully western is right and it is tolerance, would it make a difference if one of the trailing arm bolt is slack? what about tracking? have you taken other measurements? eg rear hub to cross member bother sides and front hubs to bumper to see if any odd results appear?? hope this helps

the price of a 4x4 sprinter is ridiculous!!! cheapest one on ebay is £7500, a 4x4 tranny is £1400 and merc parts wont be cheap and inveco daily 4x4 £5500 so unless you could source your parts very cheap and you can get it to work then its all good, what what about vosa??
