  1. I'm thinking of fitting a CB to my 110, I know nothing about CB's can anyone give some info what to get? And where from? Cheers Chris
  2. I'm in the middle of re-wiring my 110 (84 with a 300tdi) and the looms have seen better days. I got a bulkhead loom that I picked up ages ago and has some issues with it that I didn't notice at the time, my main worry is the engine plug that conects to the engine loom. The plug is broken and its the rubber bullet type can this be swapped for an econoseal type as the one one the engine loom has seen better days too. Also there's a thick brown/red wire with a ring connector on it what's that for, checked on the manual I got and can't find it.
  3. I got a 1984 110 with a 300tdi and r380 defender box in it, it was done by the last owner don't think it was much of a job to do, I know the engine mounts need changing not sure what else.
  4. The legs i'm on about are the ones the fold out from underneath at the back of the trailer, they fold out fine but one is higher that the other i tried the handle thing but it didn't move i'll have another look tomorrow.

  6. French engines???? They are made in Fords Dagenham Diesel Centre. And the petrols are made in Fords Bridgend.

  12. The whole exhaust needs replacing on my 110 (300tdi non cat) I was thinking along the lines of standard down pipe, centre box replacement pipe, standard rear Section. Is this the right way to go any recommendations? (null)
  13. Here's the pic of my arb. On another note my 110 looks a little high on the rear. I got genuine springs and shocks any thoughts

  15. I got an anti roll bar on the back of my 110 and I think the drop links (think that's what they are called) are the wrong way round. Should they drop down from the axel to the anti roll bar or should they go up to the anti roll bar??? (null)
  16. I got a 110 csw with new defender rear springs on. I'm getting the fronts to match them next week and I have genuine shocks as well ready to fit. The part numbers are:- RHD 110 7 seat station wagon (3050 Kg) Front - Both sides NRC 8045 Yellow/yellow Rear - Both sides RKB500300 White/green/green (null)
  17. Sorry to step in on this post but could you wire a front screen to wiring for the rear screen if your disconnect the rear one as the rear one on mine the glass is knackered and was going to replace with a no heated one I got lying around in my garage.?
  18. I've just replaced my load floor all I did was drill every spot weld, rivet, etc hold the floor down and lifted the whole floor out. I had to replace all the supports under the floor I got the shorter ones and front to back ones from YRM and the longer one under the seats a genuine LR part and had it glavanised. I made the new floor from two 1x1 metre ally sheet that I had for £30 and riveted in I got a pic of the finish floor that I can e-mail you
  19. That's the sort of thing you need re eBay link or you can get a DA one which is easier to use. The knobs on the gun control the fan size and trigger flow. I use a gravity feed gun which I've been told ate better and waste less paint. Mine is a cheap one that came with my compressor. I'll take some pics later to show you how mine is going.
  20. You should have a pressure gauge on your compressor I'm using around 3.5 bar for my spraying try adjusting the pressure. A angle grinder is not suitable for polishing you need a proper polisher that has a speed adjuster. I got a dual action polisher that works well. You can use a orbital sander the type that takes round sanding pads and put a foam pad on it but they don't have the power like a proper polisher. Take alook at elite car care they sell different types of polishers but do shop around for one, but I'm sure you could hire one.
  21. How are you applying the paint?? Are you mixing it to the correct ratio? I'm painting my 110 at the moment and not had any orange peel so far but I am using different paint. Polishing will sort it but you will have to flat it back first with 2500 grit wet and dry and use it wet the polish with a proper polisher and compound I use Menzerna polish which is far better than the one you mentioned.
  22. I've got to agree I've ordered a few times from them very quick delivery and the quality of the bits is outstanding.
  23. Cheers chaps, I have now found what I was looking for. Floor strenghting rib p/n aft710090 this is the long rib that's under where the seats are on a csw 110 the other ribs as pointed out are in the parts books and are the shorter ones and theres 4 on mine but the longer one isn't in the parts book as far as I can see.
  24. Hi all, I've started to replace the floor in the tub of my 110 CSW and 2 of the crossmembers need replacing I have found some on YRM's web site but the front one is longer than the rest and I can't find a part number for this crossmember. Can anyone help. Chris
