  1. Halfords etch primer is good stuff, no need for any other primer just give it a light coat first then a second coat
  2. Also a 1983 110 axle would have bigger hubs you wouldn't get you alloys on it.
  3. I've got one in my garage that's working.
  4. It was probably left on the car from the factory, they use a tracking system there to check where each car is, and if any are moved without permission it can be stopped before they leave the factory.
  5. Have you priced up a 20' high cube container? They are taller at 9'6"
  6. Sounds like the exhaust manifold is blowing a little, I got the similar noise on my 3.5 and know it's the exhaust manifold to downpipe joint is blowing.
  7. Give me a list of what you got and I'll ask my mate who's into all this stuff he'll know
  8. Speak to the guys at Emlra they can help you with value.
  9. They are about the mk3 sankey has discs, I have such a trailer and I find them great and I find it gives a more progressive braking than drums. Not seen any on ifor trailers but I've also wondered why.
  10. Yes they are the right ones but you will need a few other parts too as I bought a job lot from withams last year for my 110. And I had to take a couple of bits off my old SU's as the new ones didn't come with them. They are about the right price, the ones I had left over I sold on and got just under that price for the 2 pairs I had. As for the guy i have no idea how good he is. They do look like the ones from withams tho he must have bought a job lot like what I did.
  11. I'm sure the central locking is attached to the inner wing and there a pin that locks the fuel filler door, I'll look tomorrow as mine came off with no problems
  12. Have you taken the central locking unit off the filler caps door?
  13. Have you taken the central locking unit off the filler caps door?
  14. Yeah it's from a snatch landrover or a CAV 100 giving its proper title. Can you send a pic of it to me as if you don't want it I maybe interested.
  15. I'm breaking a 89 classic at the moment I will see what it looks like on the one I got.
  16. Seems twisted to me, if you do get it I got a 110 roof you can have for a small amount of beer tokens
  17. 3.9 downpipes are twin port the 3.5 carb manifolds are single port there's no way to get them to marry. Best get a pair of 3.5 EFi or 3.9 manifolds which are twin port ones.
  18. Sounds like the clutch slave cylinder piston is starting to go through the clutch fork. It happened to my 300tdi 110 last year
  19. There's only one type of helper spring. There's no harm in fitting them but you will need some extra bits too as well as the springs. You might find it harsh when unloaded with the helpers. My 110 runs HD springs all round and helpers on the back and I find it rides nicer than the CSW I had before, but my 110 is a ton heavier than a standard 110 so that does play a big part in the better ride.
  20. I had this happen on mine. It turns out there's two different lock washers one is bigger than the other. I had the smaller one and it wouldn't quite stop the nut from loosening. I got the bigger one and that done the trick.
  21. They were used in the jeep Cherokee. I had one found it a really good engine if looked after. They will run on any type of heavy oil fuel. I ran mine on 100% veg oil with no problems
  22. 235/85/16 general grabber at2's they are a good tyre and can last ages
  23. Happag high cubes I beleve are 9'6 tall. We use them in work I'll check tomorrow
  24. There's a mk2 sankey come up on withams auction take alook it's. Mine sits nose down when empty but once you load it it sits level on the back of my Landy so it maybe worth keeping that in mind before adjusting the hitch.
