  2. ok so on its way is the 4.6 gems engine so now i need to get all the other bits im gona need 1st off is the fuel pump, if using my side mounted tank will any of these be suitable? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330741950913?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230758063956?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110872445330?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649
  3. part 2 could help with the main shift gasket but not the high/low one but as soon as i seen your username come up i remembered your website contains the parts lists, will just go take a look. thanks
  4. ok really struggling to find the part numbers for this one, looking for the part numbers for the gaskets that go between the bottom of the high/low and the main shift remotes
  5. just ignore me iv just found it - frc2365
  6. as per title looking for part number for the input seal on a lt230 transfer box thanks
  7. if you could it would be much appreciated, i asked the guy who i won it off to do it but he just plain refused to do it, its bad enough getting him to package it.
  8. £350, didnt think that was bad but im not really up to scratch on engine prices so may just be over excited. As for the loud pedal, it wont be too loud for me, after years of flat oot fun i finally got myself a 6 month ban back in march, not great when my job requires me to have a license (continental hgv driver) so iv decided its time to tame the right foot. Mind suppose when im offroad that mite not last long. Was considering megasquirt anyway, just need to get the cash together for that bit.
  9. ok so another blinding deal today, got the 4.6 mentioned above and as told had full service history documentation and many receipts, coming complete with ecu, loom, starter, alternator, pas pump (slight leak), air con pump (on board air here we come), fuel pump, 4-2-1 tubular manifolds, radiator, just got to nip back round on monday and remove the thing. Things you have to do for a decent deal eh. Question now is when rebuilding what would you replace/upgrade? Will my refurbed LT77 handle this engine?
  10. mmm if its a big job it might just stay for now, i mean if its survived 2 years who's to say it wont last another 2
  11. Just found http://www.paisleyfreight.com/ £30 from hertfordshire to scottish borders, next day delivery, its 40 kg limit but im sure when an LT77's drained its about that anyway
  12. so with a full service history i may be lucky, its still in the vehicle anyway so will get a chance to run it later
  13. evening all, for the past couple of years theres been a strange noise (somewhere between a squeal and a groan) coming from my disco (2003 td5) when i lift the clutch, its not all the time but mostly when manouvering at low speed, for example manouvering into a parking space. anyone any ideas what it could be as its really bugging me now? latley iv taken ocd with any little faults!!
  14. up until thursday i had both transfer boxes still lying around and the only difference i ever seen between them was the bracket
  15. ok so today placed an ad with shiply, first quote came in at £80 + £13.99 auction fee, used parcel2go quite alot, they do 50kg as a package instead of a pallet so should manage a good price that way
  16. just plan on inflating tyres and running tools. may have a good read of them write ups and see about using the air con pump as its not gona be used for air con
  17. so will the disco bracket not work, i still have the defender bracket but would prefer to leave the disco one in place to save the hassle of changing it and drilling it to fit
  18. ok so iv been bidding on a fully refurbed (unused since built) LT77 V8 box and was lucky enough to land it for alot less than i had anticipated, now iv heard the local breakers has just taken delivery of a range rover fitted with 4.6 gems engine so tommorrows plan is to go take a looksie. my mate tells me its done 120'000mls but all the documents are in the car showing full service history and many many receipts, i know the guy in the scrappy so should be able to barter for a cracking deal on everything i need, question is, is 120'000 mls over the hill or will a strip down and rebuild see this lasting for the forseable future? also will my refurbed LT77 handle the engine?
  19. evening, having fitted an lt230 transfer box to the 90 iv got the disco hanbrake setup still connected but the question is will this work on the 90 or do i need to transfer the defender bracket over? also when i come to order an x eng disc brake do i order a disco one or a defender one?
  20. morning all, im currently bidding on an LT77 V8 box on fleabay but i have to arrange my own courier, i have 2 questions on this, 1. what are the dimensions and weight of an lt77 including bellhousing? 2. which courier would you reccomend for this job? Item location is Hertfordshire and needs to go to Scottish Borders
  21. evening all, quick question, whats the best oil to use in my LT77 V8 box?
  22. Evening all, im thinking of having an on-board air supply in the 90 but have gave myself 2 options, 1. use air con pump and convert and rig up to a tank 2. iv changed to coils on the back of the disco so now have a redundant compressor on here i could use question is which do you think would be the best option and what would i all need to make the disco compressor idea?
  23. good point, all thats fitted is the downpipe
