  1. Hello.....(hello hello hello hello......) anyone there? ( anyone there......anyone there.....anyone there.....) ??
  2. Evening gang, I've just bought a convoy light to replace my tired one on the landy. My original one has a screw type top with the feed entering into it. The one I bought has what seems a 4 pin connector at the top. Can anyone tell me the connector I need and is it a straight modification? Thanks
  3. Arjan I don't have an MoD one handy to try....... These ones I have are for the modern market. Good quality, just don't fit in. It must be the seams...... ??
  4. Well the banjo was like this...... After runnng the compressor through the breather all was ok. A good clean up and all is good.
  5. Thanks Snagger, I'm thinking of just putting one in each side. Be a shame to "rough them up a bit". Mind you, having a compartment free is pretty handy for a sack of logs........ I'm going for a water storage tank just inside the rear door, with a pipe and tap when I'm away on adventures.
  6. Had a look at the order, it looks like it's modern ones. They are good quality and would be a shame if they don't fit in where they're meant to go...... So do you think I should add some "character" and make them fit? Or secure one each side and secure?
  7. Ok guys, got a nice birthday pressie of two 20L jerry cans to go in my 110 1986 ex MoD. Side compartments all sanded down and painted. Went out today to put them in, they don't fit in on their side just one in and it's tilted. So have I got jerry cans that aren't MoD spec? Was a bit gutted they don't fit snug. Must be only mm in it with the seam of the can making it taller on its side.
  8. I've got a trip to glencoe planned for February 24th, so I've only got next weekend and the one after to get it done. I'm hoping this kit will have all the correct parts, but knowing my luck, something will be different. ??
  9. Thanks Ralph, I'll go for the kit then, just out of curiosity, would the heavy duty drive flanges fit my hub too? ?
  10. Just seen the title of this thread , husband b kit?? Blooming predictive malarky.... so would that kit be ok? Does it matter if it's a rover axle or, like mine, a Salisbury axle?
  11. Ok with one thing or another I've not had the time to fully do the rear Salisbury axle work, it's a bit of a mine field out there in regard to kits for the proper axle. Would this fit fit my rear Salisbury axle? https://www.famousfour.co.uk/new_parts/ff_part?part=9932 I've just discovered mines is an 86' due to the chassis number being BA then the serial number.......
  12. I'll have a read up on that Les ta, reb78, I'm easily confused or it's the fact my dog was up half the night and my brain has shut down now ? How to test breather then?
  13. So filler plug out on diff, blow into breather from front, how to tell there's a blockage?
  14. Les if I'm now getting EP90 leaking when the flange is off, will it be seal 7 and gasket 11 ?
  15. Flange off quite a bit of EP90 came out...., new seals?
  16. I'm now treading very carefully, as you can see the bolts that are coming out are very rusty, the one with the red paint on it, isn't playing ball, so it's slowly slowly catchy monkey to try ease it off.... oh please don't snap !!
  17. Cap off not full of oil, no visable damage
  18. No notifications again grrrrr ok I'm out right now here's what I can see so far, no visible cracks or leaks on the hub cap, looks like leakage on the drum so may be breather? How to check its clear/blocked?
  19. Not sure what make, my friend had two spare in his garage, we tried one and it split, put the second one in hot water and it clipped on better. It's tomorrow's job for sure !
  20. Finally got an email notification ? New cap was put on about a month ago, still the same result. I'll double check for splits cracks, was under today finishing one side of rubbing down and painting the chassis to protect it. I'll see how the weather is tomorrow and get onto this leaky hub ??
  21. Thanks guys, I'm not sure why I'm not getting notifications of replies, it's selected to email immediately. Hmmmmm its leaking on the outside only. I'll get it off tomorrow and have a good look. RTV is on hand ??
  22. Ok, so if the flange is leaking, gasket needed or flange itself? What parts would I be better to replace here? Sorry i just want to do a good job on the beast.
  23. Don't have a better picture at the minute but the oil is leaking onto the wheel at the rear....
