Engines are identified by the number, which is usually on the block. newer engines have numbers on heads etc.
So under kit car rules the original chassis can be altered.
ah ok thankyou.
DVLA say
Get an age-related registration number
You can apply for an age-related number if you can prove you’ve used 2 original major parts along with:
a new monocoque bodyshell, chassis or frame from a specialist kit manufacturer
an altered chassis, monocoque bodyshell or frame from the original vehicle
The registration number will be based on the age of the original vehicle.
Your vehicle must pass the relevant type approval test to get an age-related registration number.

so if i was to build a "special" out of a discovery using all the parts except the body and chassis would hat keep the reg? like a tomcat or a tubular chassis whitbread thing?
whats it worth? £1000 tops. he must be aware of storage charges etc so he ca do the maths and now knows he's in debt.
get the paperwork up together, bills for storage etc and go see the police, tell them you want to sell it to recover costs. I have done this on a debt a few nears ago, i repossed a vehicle, i had the spare keys. i told the police what i had done and they told the man he had lost his car.
i personally like them all. what i don't like is the prices £48,000 for the disco sport and onward through out the range.
But it's pumping much needed revenue into the country, lots of expenditure on new plant , technology and jobs. Something that hasn't been done since the 70's in the motor inductry.
When my numbers come in i'll have a RRS on the drive.
its a tdci bulkhead, don't want distorsion in the bit you can see. i can bash the hell out the bottom if i need to persuade it
times upon me as i'm off on my travels soon, tomorrow actually, with work. it'll wait.
Been tidying up a bulkhead ready for Galvanising. I've done a few other bits in the past and all have warped a little. As this is a going to be part of a tidy , read expensive!, build i want it as straight as possible once done ready for paint.
Where would the best place be to be to make a mounting frame connect onto the bulkhead? or would a wire / bolt system be better.
well she's been parked up now for some time i tried to start it and with a wiggle of the wires, smaller black one? it started. so i think starter out and look at the wiring first off
