    My 90

My 90 is being bought by a trader tomorrow afternoon for cash, a fair bit less than my price in classifieds. If anyone wants a bargain or knows someone who does for what is a very solid & reliable LR make me an offer. I promise I won't laugh and you never know you might be lucky.
  2. Had completely forgotton about this due to far too much going on at the moment. Due to above & impending sale of 90 will have to pull out, apologies to all, will make myself available for biatching duties later in the year to compensate

    Why

1996 300TDi Hard Top 100K, 12months MOT Full LR Service history Dent in front wing (will push out) & bend to one end of front bumper, otherwise A1. Bulkhead & chassis (regularly waxoiled) both A1 Photos if required. Is a 3rd vehicle / toy and moving house & 'hybrid' on the way, so need all the spare cash I can get
  4. Me - Devizes DieselJim - Swindon Les Henson - Swindon Dr Goon - Swindon / Oxford Others over Bristol way, Amesbury / Salisbury way etc

    Why

Will you take a 90 in px for RR+cash?
  6. Had a chat with the nice man from the mortgage company on Friday sorting out the stuff for the new house, so it has probably got a stay of execution And yes I would regret it, hence why only half hearted effort to replace
  7. I am happy with it, very happy with it, just want to see if I can get something that will do the same job and free up some needed cash. Don't worry Charles, with everything I have going on at the minute realistically there is every chance I will be saying about this time next year how pleased I am that it has sailed through yet another MOT B)
  8. LR 90, 300TDI 1996 N 100K 2 owners FSH Hard Top LR Logo seats & cubby box Jackable sills QT F&R Diff guards Steering guard with recovery points BFG MT 255/85 on silver modulars A bar & spots Dixon Bate 12 months MOT - has sailed through last two no problems Small dent in from wing (from Tony's b'day winch challenge last year) Chassis regularly waxoiled & bulkhead A1 Am thinking about a trade in with my car on a new car and then just look for a cheap LR for cash, but no real idea what the 90 is worth at the moment. TIA
  9. I'll have a trundle out for a few hours, clear the cobwebs from the truck.
  10. Chris It is one of their Journo's, Mark Saville IIRC.
  11. Would love to, be a chance to actually use the LR.....but in reality I will (hopfully) have just moved house and also need to be local in case of early 'hybrid' arrival
  12. Best: My old Disco or current 300TDi 90 Worst: 90 2.5n/s, soooo ssllooww and underpowered, only had it for 3 months
  13. Chris You could try Pike Associates, they are just outside Trowbridge on the A360(?) Devizes road. FJ Chalke are Rover dealers in Warminster, assuming item is for Freeby, might have part?? I'll post again if I think of any more EDITED: Could also try Harfords In Chippenham

    It lives!

Chris Glad you got it running, if you need someone to throw ideas at you / diagnose it, take it round to Adrians. (I know I keep going on about it, but he doesn't mind offering advice etc [and its free] and certainly has the experience to tell you what it is and what you will need to fix it, and will probably have the bits in stock to save a trip up to the main steelers) I'll stop the plugs now
  15. IF I do, I may get something for ~£1500 - £2000 to bash around in and spend the rest on a new bike & upgrading my Audi (have to spend it quick, otherwise the Sandbag will) Oh, and there is the small matter of an impending hybrid arriving
  16. Glad someone else uses theirs as much as I do mine, apart from the odd run to the gym to keep it turning over it just sits there........even thinking of selling it
  17. Their take on customer service can be a little different, but if you speak to Adrian he is usually nice & helpful, if a little brusque when busy. Best option is to just wantder towards the workshops and ask for him, if you go into the office you are likely to get his old man, who is a grumpy sod!
  18. Chris If you don't want to wait for parts, or find that you need something quickly, Adrian (garage on corner near Tesco) will have it in stock. He only stocks genuine LR parts, but prices are reasonable and he always have everything in Good luck with it
  19. V8 waterproofing = fit a proper engine
  20. All the time, its the way I view the site
  21. Mine look much the same and fell out of an 05 plate Nissan Primera I had borrowed from my old work
  22. Mandy I gather there are no ROW's for the LR? You may be able to use another form of motorised buggy or similar to access the area, assuming that it is accessible without using the steps. One of the key elements of the NT is accessibility of everything they own, and they go a long way to achieving this aim. If you think this (or something else) may be an option for you to get up there then PM me with details of where it is and I will try to find out the local property manager / warden and see if they can assist. Although the chance of being able to take the LR up there if ROW don't exist will be very slim.
  23. Without knowing where & when installed I can't confirm, with that info I can
  24. Where is this land? The duty of care / responsibility of the NT (my employer) reduces exponentially the further away you get from a managed building. In other words, the NT have a high duty of care / level of responsibility for health & safety issues when visitors are walking around a property with a pay barrier, however the level of responsibility falls dramatically for the open countryside spaces. The reason for this is partly the lack of pay barrier and secondly the assumption that individuals are responsible for their own safety in open countryside. There was mention of hand rails above; the steps installed to help delay the errosion would have been subjected to H & S guidelines when being installed, but also the conservation issues may have meant no hand rails as it is seen as intrusive to the view / surroundings / landscape / ambience of the area. A lot of countryside properties have few signs etc for this very reason.
  25. A project I am doing means I need to do some market analysis, and not living in the big smoke, nor having a particular taste for coffee I was at a slight loss as to who the main players were, hence the question. Cheers.
