  1. Only rears come with a locker.... So you'll end up with just a front locker unless you buy a second rear diff....
  2. I'm putting them on an 88" so using leafs... Rear end might go coil sprung after it's going though... Have a look at Tonks 4x4 I believe he is trying to make up a bolt on axle kit...?
  3. I'm putting them on an 88" so using leafs... Rear end might go coil sprung after it's going though...
  4. I got my 30mm spacers from lasupertrux almost 3 years ago @ £80 never had a problem with them been used in anger plenty.... No signs of wear, spot on... Friend was keen on them so I said to say you were quoted £95 last time you called and they were out of stock.... He got em for £95 + courier.... I'm perfectly happy as is he... I'd give them a shot.... Unless anyone has bad stories about them...?
  5. I haven't decided if I'm using air or cable yet, I think the easiest way would be to use air however a cable/link set up may be more robust although it takes alot to move the actuator by hand... I'm not quite at that stage yet so will deal with it when I get there..... I am keeping the original brakes and making wheel adaptors to fit land rover stud patern.... I'll get some extra bits to play around with to work out a solution for discs... I'm concentrating on the wheel adaptors, machining prop flanges, machining the centre of the diff so it can be flipped over and getting the axles under the car then anti-wrap bars..... Then working out my hydraulics and steering set up.... Cash is a bit tight at the moment as is time so just doing little bits and pieces as I can whilst accumulating anything else I need....

    Snow

I'm a bit confused? Was he running road tyres...? In all my experience driving in snow I've never been stuck... If been through snow deeper than the bonnet on my 4" lifted 90 with 265/75r16's on for 500+ meters when snow packs up in front like a wall you back up and take a good run at and burst it and when it happens again you do the same... I've had to clear the radiator a number of times untill I started putting a tarp over the bar at the front... Even off track driving through ditches and moorland in 3ft of snow I've never had a problem besides game keepers scouring the area looking for me because they couldn't get anywhere near me after they'd seen my tracks Really winds them up driving off the hill through a big ditch and onto a closed road in front of them Nearly got in trouble when I dropped the front two wheels through ice that was under the snow into some sort of pond... Just smashed all the ice around with the hi-lift and reversed out....
  7. I know explorer had a 'nasty accident' or something and were shut down for a few days but as far as I know that's it.... A friend ordered some springs from them last week and got them fine....?

  11. I bought a soft top off of eblag earlier this year for my 88".... Two days ago I got a stick set off of a friends 88 that he is breaking... So today I lifted the hard top off fitted the stick set and put the hood over.... I doesn't seem a perfect fit being pretty baggy..... On the 88 I got the stick set from there was nothing on the top of the windscreen, what do i need for securing the canvas there....?? ANd where's best to get what I need? Above each door on the canvas there are three little hooks on short leather straps, Where do these attach....? Have I got the right hood...? Also I was interested to know what other people are using to tie down their hoods...? There is rope on this hood but it isn't the easiest stuff to work with.... Also I have 1 of the lashing points for the sides of the tailgate flap missing, I take it I'll be able to got one of these to stich on from exmoor trim or somewhere... Where's best to ask....? Think thats it, can post pictures of bits if this helps.... Thanks in advance for replys....
