  1. Still 3x Avon rangemasters on rims 10mm tread 7.50r16 free for uplift/arrange courier/pay for courier one was bald and They were all taken off... Fed up looking at them... Will be disposed of soon....?
  2. I mounted mine through the wings just at the back of the straight edge against the radiator, this was so I wasn't going through the checker plate on the bonnet too.... It also missed the checker plate on the wing.... I done away with the cable and the springy bit and just left the little safety catch on....
  3. 3x 7.50r16s on 10mm + tread with rims, free to a good home....???
  4. Not much progress at the moment really.... making up adaptors for land rover wheels so I have a decent wheel selection if I make a mess of the ones I have and will be useful for transporting now the recovery truck is sold.... Will update when they're on....
  5. Couple more of the few pictures taken.....
  6. No idea on the legalities..... The trailer weighs a wee bit under a ton it is plated as to what you can tow on it but as it is designed for 1 vehicle specificly it is down rated to the weight of that vehicle...... The trailer was brilliant all weekend..... No worries at all apart from being half way across the other lane on narrower roads.... Excellent for loading and unloading as the hydraulics drop the bed flat to the floor, then pump up again with any weight on no problem....
  7. Sorry guys, blonde moment...... Yep, the left hand footwell is always smaller RHD or LHD..... Never ment to confuse....!!!!
  8. This weekend.... hmmmm Well last week some guy from Thornaby, South of Newcastle agreed to buy my 109" Recovery truck.... He said he would be arriving at 2am Saturday morning approx.... He appeared around 4-4.30am Oh well no sleep then, He arrived in a rover 820 with an A-frame............!!!! UH OH...... After gold knows how long he was all hitched up and ready to go so he pulled out the drive with me following in the S1.... The 109" was swinging lock to lock to lock or so it seemed as he was trying to drive down the road dragging the rover all over the place..... So this wasn't going to work... So one of the guys jumped out of the rover and sat in the 109".. They had a little more control this time however still didn't seem able to get over 25mph.... So after the longest 6 miles of their lives we arrived in Forres..... Where they then decided there was no way they could take it home..... Left a deposit and hit the road for the long drive home.... I got in touch later that day to let them know it would be possible to deliver so we eventually agreed on a rate (which would barely cover fuel costs) So Sunday morning Alex and me set about cutting off the old mess of a tow bar, fitting a new one and drop plate with nato hitch....... After messing around with wiring and everything else we were ready to leave about 8.30pm...... Ex-swedish military trailer 8' 6" wide and 14.5 ft long bed....!!! Interesting going down the narrow Scottish A and B roads.... Anyway we arrived in Thornaby at 8.30am Monday morning and delivered the recovery truck to its new owner... And off we set to Pontefract, Wakefield...... Arriving there at something like 10.45am to pick up my 404.... Oicked it on to the trailer had a blether stopped off for some lunch and eventually got going again.... Alot of cigarettes a few wrong turns, sandwiches and silly motorway banter with truck drivers and we arrived home at 3am Tuesday..... All in one piece no hitches..... Thank god..... Just an sore right knee..... Your guess as to how much sleep I managed..... (maybe at the wheel lol)
  9. From which measurement are they way out id, od or the width.....? I have a few bags kicking about, I'll measure up and see what dimensions they are, I replaced the bushes on my parabolics just before Christmas last year (on my 88") with no problems.... Daniel
  10. This what you're looking for....? Daniel
  11. RHD and LHD foot wells are the same.... tunnel is always off-set to the N/S making the N/S foot well narrower than the O/S.... Hope this helps, Daniel
  12. It's for business use so really need to go through a dealer for finance, looking for a 130 as the extra load space would mean not requiring to tow a trailer most days... That one through MRM would be ideal if it gets reasonable MPG but not looking good with their reputation.... Wouldn't need to fork out on lift, winch, roof rack... or tyres for a while.... Anyone nearby fancy going down and having a poke about at it....?? Thanks, Daniel
  13. But why has it been for sale for a long time....??? Paint a scrapper all nice for him and do a swap...!!!
  14. Alright............ Looking at buying this CLICKY Was wondering if anyone has had experiences with MRM Land Rover.....? Was wondering if anyone locally would have a look and see if all is sound......? Also looking to find out MPG anyone else is getting running this engine.... Any help greatly appreciated.... I'm 650 miles away and don't fancy taking a trip down to find it's a waste of time..... Thanks, Daniel
  15. Adrian Flux, Footman James are good.. Norwich Union do a 9 month young driver policy which builds up no claims discount... I was doing some work on a womans Landrover last year and her son 17 was looking to get a Landrover... I advised a tax exempt series and stick a daihatsu or isuzu diesel in.... He did this and his first years insurance was a smige over £300.... I believe on a 90 county (not pick-up or van) you'll be looking at from £600 to £900 for your 1st year... That lad couldn't thank me enough... Economical, cheap insurance, free road tax, 7 seats, fun to drive, convertible... and he can get to his house in the winter.....!!! And parts are pennies.... Give the 90 a miss for a year or two and get yourself a series.....!!! Hope this helps....
  16. Use one from a nissan, toyota, transit, isuzu...?
  17. You'll have to get choppy with the passenger foot well, besides that it's pretty straight forward but I'd bin the alternator with separate regulator set up...... Oh squeezing the exhaust in is a bit interesting... Go for it.... How many times has the engine been round the clock....
  18. A decent camera and a steady hand wouldn't go amiss too Andrew.... Help fund finishing of mine and you can hide in the back.... Or co-drive if Alex is competing next year aswell....
  19. platinum thats worth lots of pennies
  20. I have one here, i'll take pics tomorow... And can weigh for postage (hardly weighs anything) infact i think i may have more than 1.... Daniel
  21. Never had a problem with spacers on the disco also running alloys, put the spacers on ran 25 miles approx pulled the wheels off and re-tightened the spacers...... They've been on for a year now with no issues....
  22. Defiantly the way to go for an all-rounder with some nice comfy seats.....
  23. Had a funny little idea about coiling the rear of my 88" and moving the axle back..... (It's just a thought at the moment) Would these stand up to the punishment of 39's and portals....???
