    What i meant by the student copy was... The school is getting a certain license which means it will be on all the school computers in the D&T block + sixth form computers too. There will also be a copy given to students (6th form engineering for now) that we can use at home. but if its like the other drawing package we have, will have some features disabled on the home copy.

    anyone got any ideas how much a single license of solidworks would cost me? (I may be getting a student copy from 6th form, as the license they are getting means we can all have a copy )

    tongue in cheek really... does anyone have a spare seat (and possibly Dad too) for the offroad course on sunday? This will be my 3rd time at billing and i have yet to go on the course as Dad wont take the disco round it/hes get a b*llocking from Mom. thanks

    i dont think this is off topic...what are the costs per mile for only fuel (rather than MPG) for, say a RRC on petrol, diesel or LPG??

    been playing with one of the insurance thingies....£1879 is the cheapest i can find (fully comp) ...not a suprise really. and it goes over £100 more if its TPFT insted of fully comp! must think you're going to drive worse.

    insurance is the killer! and if i had it here, it would have to be movable all the time as the caravan has to come from behind the house/across the drive. and the idea of trailering it would mean that i dont have to pay insurance for dad/mom to drive it to places for me. wish i had a barn & lots of land or a mate with

    as far as i know, it saves having really long bumpstops which could get ripped off.
