  1. Hi, when I remove the engine is there any way I can turn it upside down to do the T seals? I have a hoist and might get a leveller ÂĢ30 ish but don't want to buy a stand at ÂĢ100 ish for a one off hopefully, already had one distroyed by someone. Sorry on a tight budget as always. 🙄 Mark.
  2. Hi to all. Ok, searched through the internet found some info but I am still unsure as usual. So I believe I need to change my clutch as it is slipping. My query is can the rear crank seal and T seals be fitted with the engine still in the 110 even if it is a bit more fiddley but very do able. I have done a clutch before by removing the LT77 gear box as that suits me best and want to do it that way again. Is there a tried and trusted sealant I can use and would it be worth fitting a crank seal with the two extra holes in it? I know about the cable tie on the rod and the stronger arm what is the idea with drinks can metal slips to put the T seals in? Is there anything else I should do while I am in there? I have had this 110 for 18 years and still I can not part with it. 🙈🙉🙊
  3. Thanks, I cleaned it all up and rebuilt it but did notice the armature was still brushing the the stator. When I reconnected to the plug it would not spin and started to smoke so it is scrap for sure. Regards Mark
  4. Wipers decided to not wipe just as a snow/rain shower came on. I think the motor stuck as I was getting an electrial burning smell and the motor casing was hot . So can anyone tell me if the brushes in my motor are done or not, looking on line it is hard to tell the length they should be new the drive wheel does not appear to be worn (to me). Will order up a new set but I would like to know if I can use the old set until the new parts arrive. Thanks for any info. Regards Mark.
  5. Hi out there to all. I made a few changes a while back. I had the 110, an 88, a rrc, a mil lw left hand drive, a 200tdi disco and a 300tdi disco and off roading every other weekend. What struck me was "I needed to cut my cloth to suit the width/situation as I was just bouncing of one lr to try to get on with the mounting to do list. Kept the 110 the rest I of loaded and never looked back. It was nice to have had them all and the same goes for my motorcycles as well. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do and only that person can fix the situation. Things change accept it, you only get one go at life. Regards Mark
  6. Hi thanks. The valve I refer to is in the pic. Got it sorted out and should be able to get my mig up and running again soon. Regards Mark.
  7. Didn't want to start a whole new thread and I hope this is ok. I need a few spares for my Supermig 150 V2. The two items in the pic, torch vavle and gas fitting that mounts on the rear panel of the mig 4mm up to 6mm bottle hose. Thought about Euro conversion but do not know what is involved. Not worried about who makes or supplies the parts as long as i can get my door finished. Any help would be very appreciated indeed as always. 😜 Regards Mark Sorry about the massive pic.ðŸĪŠ
  8. Not a thing wrong with you rear my friend.
  9. I'll go panhard rod as I have had similar experience. Do update please. Regards Mark.
  10. Again you guys have come up trumps, Thanks. If anyone on the form is ever in N.I. and have a misshap and need a base feel free to contact me, and if i can help I will. Regards Mark.
  11. Guys big thanks for the help. I now need the part no for the plastic pieces of trim that slots in to the door handle top and bottom to hold the handle in place. Is there any where I can get a parts book online for a 1986 110 csw. It must be annoying to be asked for odd bits and bobs I am sure. Big thanks.
  12. Hi I the process of tidying the above doors but I can not find a diagram that shows the felt guide or any other parts realated to the small fixed window. Is it just a case of using standard guides and cut them down to size. Regards Mark
  13. The one with the hopper works but it is hard to keep the blast medium form going every where. Some type of enclosure for smal parts and if doing really big parts bigger enclosure. a larger hopper obviously allows longer run time.
  14. Anyone know if the wiring for the battery charge gauge would be in a 1995 300 tdi loom behind the dash. My 1986 110 has a battery charge gauge which works and I want to stick one in the 90 if possible. Regards Mark.
  15. Hi, not trying to be funny at all but what about a horse or donkey with a cart? Just a thought?
  16. Hi should the part shown be free to turn or tight? What does it do?
  17. If I thought they would parcel it up I wouldn't mind one of those. 😎
  18. Has anyone any simple designs for spare wheel carriers they would not mind sharing. I need to get the weight of the 110 rear door and the spare out of the 90 truck cab load bay.
  19. Thanks everyone for the info. I have 5 x 285 75 16 I was just interested to know if there was any leeway as I have seem others with a different size stuck on their back door. And they dont realise the potential failures.
  20. I can't say I understand the whole workings of diffs but from what I was told I will stick to same size spare. Thanks guys, regards Mark
  21. I am not actually doing this. I was told a long time ago to not do it as it would wreck the diffs. But does anyone know if there is any leeway? I have just got 285 75 16 tyres and wanted to check if the 30mm difference in 265 75 16 would wind up the diffs if I run it as a spare?
  22. Thanks Snagger, had a wee look at Bustle About's FB page really good workmanship. Thanks for that. PaulN, that looks to be the business. But my problem is at the top there is a thin rod that goes across and a flap on the the seat cover hooks onto through the back sponge for tension and shape. Where the outside holes are on the origanal they have frayed no new piece in the retrim kits to replace them. Yous have given me some ideas. Thanks. Mark.
  23. Hi out there, has anyone used something other than the orange mesh and rubber part on defender seats. It seems it is called a "diafram" or so I believe. It basically is a back piece strung by 6 hooks to stop the foam back pushing through.
  24. I feel your pain. Good luck with which ever way you go. Regards Mark.
