  2. Hi, A heated pressure washer would be your best option i think. it will steamclean the surface
  3. Allso check the valve clearence, if it's to tight... It will get worse on warmup. Good luck
  4. Do you want the seatbelt mountings in the floor or the frame of the second row seats? I would make them on the frame , if thats sturdy enough. And reinforce the mountings for the second row seats. In my head i would use 2 point seatbelts. Or would you like to use 3 point seatbelts?
  5. They are under every crossmember of the tubb, so I would say to prevent rattles and squiking from grinding, between the chassis and the body during flexing?
  6. I like it .... tight, light and not white..😊
  7. is it possible to get a groove turned in to one of the parts and just use a O.ring?
  8. Will start when i got some thing to show on here... only word is not the way in my opinion. and yes, would like to know how this one is.. first get it running and driving. if need be a rebuild maybe.
  9. Yes it is, and a intercooler. So it would be 135 hp and 400nm at 2000 rpm. And yes to that to... it's just that i'm getting back in good health again.. bought the car and took out the 2,25 and started with the transmission. then live got a little different. so not much progres, for a while. but now made a set of engine mounts . and it fits. cheers Wytze
  10. Hi Steve, I bought it with a ZF and a Borg Warner . it all fits nicely. Just need to relocate the crossmember underneath the bellhousing.
  11. I have a Mazda 35 slt for my 109 stationwagon.. it takes me a little while now for some things that life presented me, but it's in now. mated to a autobox and all it needs is a downpipe to the rear instead of to the right.
  12. just what Koos explaned what could be wrong with the bendix.. nice to see the wear in the pics.
  13. Looks like there is some room to go up, with the pump. So making a new bracket for the aircon pump? Are you gonna use the aircon? Wytze

Ah, I thought that i could just change the whole of the diffcarrier... But thats no option then... Must find me a front axle from a RRC then... and a rear from a defender and check for play before i buy... Allso, I read the thread from discomicky...... think thats a very good way to convert to disk brakes... I must say, i really like it here... its good to read so much knowledge and experience... Thanks for that, it has to do a little of everything. for me and the family, mostly going out on holiday's and weekend's. She won't be doing more than a little langing, and pull a double horsebox. But i think in low gear she will have enough for what i want. I allso read that changing to 3.54 diff's will require other shafts? cause mine is from 78. Groet, Wytze

Had a virtual look round your car, it really looks very well build... But you allready know that. In mine i plan to have a 3.5litre mazda which i allready have. It's mated to a hp22 4speed with a borg warner. I tryed to do some calculating. If i want 60 mph at 2000 rpm i would need, 31" tire's , 3.54 diffs and a 14D lt230. Groet, Wytze

  21. Hello to everyone on here. My name is Wytze and I am from the Netherlands. I bought a basketcase in December , and a nice 109 stawag last saturday. In it's registration , it's still a petrol version, but there is a 2 1/4 diesel in the bay. I want de diesel in the registration first. Then the plan is to change the 2 1/4 for a 3,5 ti mazda with a ZF 4speed autobox. And ofcource insulate the hell out of it. Here is a picture of her: Will be reading a lot on here, and try to minimize the stupid questions But if i have qustions i know i will be in good hands. regards, Wytze
