  1. Holux GR-213 is good and works even when located on the rear bulkhead. For greenlaning I use Oziexplorer and for roadnavigation NDRIVE which is very easy to use on a touchscreen like the toughbook
  2. Coming week-end I go again to Marquenterre but now I will try it with Michelin 205 XPC tyres rather than the Black Star Guyane 235's. I also meaured the downpipes of the 2,25D (=45mm) and the one of a 2,5D (=55mm), but this is a change for later the season
  3. I've put also a 2,5D in my 88 that has a galva chassis. Starting point was not to cut thr rh chassis mount but after trying lots of rubbers etc, the injection pump still hits the chassis mount sometimes so at the end I cut it off last month. Engine now sits normal and fan does not hit plastic either
  4. OK, I'll look at the downpipe and the silencer Thanks for all comments and advice Henk ps: For those that go to Billing: have a beer on the D&G stand
  5. I will contact Lara, maybe I go home with a Lagonda
  6. @diffs: 4.75 they are engine: I stripped it completely, bored +0.040, head skimmed, new pistons etc, it runs very nicely exhaust: collector and downpipe are from the previous 2,25D, this could indeed be reason for not breathing at its maximum tyres: 235 Black Star Guyane = probably too much profile Most other hills were taken at first attempt, contrary to some Defs and D1's. One other steep hill needed 4 attepts after which I smelled the clutch , but that was about 2 hours before this one
  7. 88 runs standard diffs but with 2 LSD's. I go up the hill in 2nd low to make as much speed as possible: it is a steep hill !! As you can hear the engine dies at the end Here another movie of a first attept of a 110 with 2 ARB's ... he only succeeded in his 3th try
  8. Here a short movie that shows the problem:
  9. I fitted some 2 years ago a completely rebuild 2.5NA in my 88 but driving around this weekend in Marquanterra (FR), it still lacks some power on longer hills. Marquanterra is sand terrain. Tyres used were Black Star Guyane 235/85 down to 1 bar at the rear and around 1.2 bar at the front. Is there a way to get more power out of this 2.5NA or should I take other tyres (available are 255 BF Mud, 205 XPC or 305 AT's)?
  10. To make life easier, I also removed the battery tray (but I have a LHD)
  11. My first usb mouse I had also on the roof but lost it during a roadbook trough a wood. Now its on the bulkhead just behind me and signal is strong enough. It's a Holux GR-213 Sirf-III
  12. try also http://www.cartft.com and http://www.cartft.com/catalog/il/884 I have a Via M10000 in a Voom case (rock solid) with 1Gb Ram and a 30Gb HDD from a laptop and a M1-ATX power supply
  13. I got a new chip in my ECU at Billing last year (from Bell Autosport) and was tuned to pull trailers and it makes a huge difference
  14. I also have such socket, works fine on rear axle but too short for TD5 front axle. Which one mentioned here also works on a front axle ? Henk
  15. using a carpc or similar: Ozi or TTQV for off-roading and Ndrive for on the road.
  16. Indeed it look very wonky: sometimes it looses air after 5 minutes already and sometimes it stays straight for a whole day and yes we had a talk with you and Simon
  17. As one the springs is leaking air I decided to replace them by new air springs and not to do the conversion to normal springs. Question is: Should I buy original or go for Arnott air springs? Henk
  18. Organisation was a lot more flexible than in Old days (thanks Mark W) and its still worth the trip from Belgium although prizes differ a lot from stall to stall And with a 130 on the trailer its a long trip back (02:30 I saw my bed)
  19. Portsplitter for pc with all you need Mail for pwd
  20. I had my previous gps mouse on the roof but lost it while driving through branches, the new one is located on the bulkhead behind the seats and signal is strong enough. It's a Holux GR-213 usb Sirf-III
