There's some dodgyness with the way that one is listed.
This one is cheaper and not Britpart, just saw it on the same advert. Last one, too.

Dang those 1 ton rims are a strong look.

E-mail Turner and got a reply straight back from Frida (surprise as it's Sunday)
Had that on bank holiday Monday. I don't think either of them take any time off!

This will be interesting. He hates the classic defender so I am wondering what he'll make of this.

That heat shield and the mountings are elegant. I had a concern that my slave cylinder and pipe was getting cooked by the manifolds that were even closer than your pipes. I wrapped the cylinder in a malleable shield material and fed the pipe through a heat resistant sleeve designed more for wiring. Your solution is much nicer. I'd copy it if I had facilities.

Don Del - Just a quick thought, unsure of the weather in your part of the world but do you frequently experience Defender Footwell Flooding? If so, that might not all be entirely rain water. I'm guessing you've looked at the outside face of the footwell and there's no obvious trails that side.
It's just another leakage route that may not be immediately obvious. I mention it because I think my own clutch pedal is getting a weep from the master cylinder and I misidentified it as rain.

If you'd all just see the light and fit an auto, there'd be no more of this sort of nonsense on here....
Mods, we need an 'angry' react button.

I'll bid a joke about a monkey and a cue ball I heard today.
Is Car and Classic any good for this type of thing? Depends on the urgency, but better to rip the plaster off I expect and auction it.

Not mine, it's galvanised. It's also bigger than the box section ones everyone else seems to have.

Strange, seems like that suggests LR just bought them in as complete units?
Anyway, I got mine out using the closest size of screwdriver that now fits them (definitely not the one they left the factory as!) and as much pressure as I could apply to stop them spinning.
I'll just have to be careful to do them back up with the same (wrong) screwdriver as tight as I can. Maybe adding some thread lock for good luck.
At least this thread served its purpose.

No you definitely don't - sorry, think I misunderstood!

But then you'll be short a set! In theory I have a set on the 3.5 sat in a barn but that's awaiting autopsy/rebuild at some point.
I'll try Western Fixings, they usually know what everything is and have the exact match in stock.

Well I just went and pointed the camera under the 127 so here's my setup...
The vehicle was originally a factory V8, it's now on a 4.6 with (I think) RRC/D2 cast manfiolds, the Y-piece you see is custom purely because I was in Longlife getting the mid-section made single-piece and asked them to do it with a couple of small flexis in just to take up the slight misalignment you can get that stops the manifold-to-downpipe joint sealing reliably (at least they always seem to be a pain for me).
I'm assuming the x-member is original but no idea if that's right or not.
Pretty much confirms that RR cast manifolds and downpipes will always want to go under/through a defender cross member. Bowlocks.

They're very similar but much smaller. I want to get the covers blasted while they're off so I really want to strip anything that may trap and release blasting media with time/vibration.
I can probably get them off again but I am not confident they will tightly reattach. I really don't want one unscrewing itself under there.

I'm trying to find replacements for the screws that hold the internal baffles(?) inside the rocker covers. Mine are rounded out and I need to remove the baffles for cleaning.
I think there's 8 per side, can't remember. Old photo below with two circled to be clear in what I mean. All Google searches return the 4 bolts that secure them to the heads.

I've found CGI looks like it's getting worse, if anything.
I would wish we could watch 2 hours of the stunts and being talked through the technicalities of shooting this stuff than watch one second of the finished F&F trash though.

I very much like that. I think you could build one identically for less than half, though.

The green one is great, though I agree that the dampers need repainting in black. The black 90 with all the Khan carp… just no.
I hope it was clear that I was joking... 😄

I'll be putting MTs on the Volvo at the current rate.

Those are brilliant. There have to be some cosmetically-ruined, mechanically-sound Series cars just begging for that conversion.
Still, nothing will ever compete with the understated class of this
monstrosityfine example:- 1

Then it's suitably on-theme for the rest of the car.
It might seem OTT but I will be going out of my way to attend an event if this car will be there.

That's incredible. If you put that in the hands of some of you guys on here, we'd see a next level of creation/innovation. I genuinely think professional manufactuers would be envious of some of the ideas here.
I'd give it a whirl but I don't need all those fancy electronics to know it'll look like my other projects:

I don't know why but I really want this one:

I don't think we'll see many HiCaps in this condition and as standard as this. They're not making any more of them and most have been run into the ground as working vehicles. If it had stayed under 5k (if no one had seen it!) I'd have bought it and worried about where to keep it/what I'd use it for later.- 2
