Cheers to Big Blue for taking the prize givings pics... My sister and mum got some cracking shots as well, I'll upload them later in the week once I steal find their cameras...
Hope everyone had a good day. We did until about half 3 when Andy's rangie went 'clonk' during a competitor recovery. Which then became a Chief Marshal recovery. Collecting punches and sections in the dark is not that fun...
Was nice to find out I won the marshals draw when I got back though, cheers to Si at X-Eng for the battery!
Need sleep.... now!
P.S. Si, your sweary anger at falling in the water was great. Take note of those words children!
Yes you're more than welcome on foot. When onsite signs will direct you to the spectators car park, then follow the track down the woods and listen for the sound of winches... It could be worth your while to visit event control, as there may be spare maps so you can find things to watch! Event kicks off around 10, but could be earlier if everyone arrives and is ready to go!
I'm looking forward to it...
Looks fun! I'd like to get over to this next year.. Stefans new truck looks very very nice. did it perform ok, no teething troubles?
Oh and Jericho, more info on the car in the first pic please!!
Well that was a cracking weekend! Saw some truly excellent winch work and everyone seemd to enjoy themselves...

I didn't manage to get any pics of the aerial SS but I think my sister did so as soon as I locate her camera I'll stick some up from that.
Roll on Slindon!
Edit: Sister's pics now online also.
Yeah c'mon Rob!!! You don't really want to enter that OTHER challenge event on the same weekend as this do you?!?
I think you'll enjoy it Mike, at least, I hope you do!
Looking forward to this, should be a cracker...
Good event, prob best yet and the weather helped! There was this big round hot thing in the sky, not sure what it was but it can come back if it likes!
Congratulations to Chris and Si, a well deserved win. But condolences to Si for losing the bet.
Pictures will be up ASAP, but as work have just phoned it won't be today..

Day 2 will be up by the end of the week...
Had a good weekend mooching round and taking pics. Congratualtions to the guys, well deserved. Never seen a diesel driven like Chris' was on section 19 yesterday... insane. Short clip here:
Hopefully get further pics and videos up this week asap. Need spleep now, 1am bed and leaving the site at 7am this morning has done wonders...
All this talk about punches being closer together and a marshal per punch is great, but until you have the 40+ marshals required commited beforehand at each event it simply isn't going to happen. We are lucky to have the number we do at the northern events thanks to NCGL but the southern events are a real push to get the minimum number required. Ideas like this are brilliant in theory, but not currently feasible in reality.
And all those who don't enter our events because 'we just put competitors in deep water', feel free to put an entry in for Round 6 at West Harptree, where you'll be lucky to see any all weekend.
