  1. well, due to the rangy set up it runs two circuits , primary and secondary, im getting no pressure with the brake system so thought it would be easier to fit a defender axle or calipers to work with the defender servo im using, have 1991 range rover axles, may put a defender front axle on as then have 24 spline axles!!! i wouldn't be able to run the defender calipers with rage rover disk's? James

  5. Hi, Does anyone have a 1991 range rover brake diagram they can scan and send to me or post on here is possible having problems with my brakes on the hybrid, im running, rangy axles and brakes on a 90 servo and i can't seem to keep any pressure on the brakes resulting in poor performance, they are all newly piped so it may be i haven't done something or fitted something for the servo to work from the defender to the range rover. ny help appreciated. 11. Hi, to help you on the question about insuring it if it is not on the road. I have just insured my 88" Hybrid with the NFU (Fire and Theft) as a vehicle not on the road as i am still building it at £10 for ever £1000 worth of value. The only critear is that it has to be locked up in a shed but they said they also do a deal for if it is kept outside. I also had to produce a sheet with all the costs of the vehicle to justify the reason for my valuation, which i though was going to be quite difficult however when i added it all up. I even suprised my self and had to get the amount increased i was insuring it for!!! Ring up your local office and they should be really good, no foreign call centre and a one to one person acount so can tailor insurance for exactly what you want. Were brilliant for me, and when i come round to insuring it for the road they said it will be fairly easy as they are already insuring it. Hope this is of use. I thought about having my hybrid off road however i know if i didn't it would very quickly turn into a vehicle which just gets abused and you don't quite care about so much, your list of possitives seems to outweigh the off-road to me!!! cheers James

Haven't added the front metal but going to fit two swivel recovery eyes directly in front of the chassis rails once i fit them. James
  15. Got a whole load of stuff about it last week from vosa/dvla and it is less scary than first thought and especially for commercial vehicles where there is little change and as mentioned doesn't change until April 28th 2011. for passenger its the 28th April this year. if you ring up the dvla they are sending out a document explaining all the main differences which is quite good. Cheers James

  21. Hi, I know this has been covered a few times before but i can't seem to find any info on what i need. I have as the pic below shows, on the pump, 5 wires, two pairs of 2 coming from the side of it on the engine side and then there is another on the back of the unit if looking at it from the bulkhead. What doeas each of these wires go to on a defender wiring loom? Also, what wires do i need to put where from the started solenoid? at the moment i have one going to the alternator, and two going into the bulkhead loom as well but the engine still doesn't start. I put a cable from the battery to the top of the starter tonight and the engine turned over but that was it, as the pump wasn't going, However when i did this one of my power steering pipes got extremly hot? i think it was earthing through it, i have 2 earths on the engine awhich is a little odd. Any help much appreciated. Here the pic i have many thanks James
  22. haha, funny you mentioned this, i spent the entire day today from 9am to 3pm going round every car components, brake and Hydraulic place in Ipswich today trying to find the size, no where, so went to the place i should have gone to first and and sourced a male union for it, if you just need the male union to make an adapter like i did in the end, see pic then give landypart in suffolk a ring and they shall be able to help you, if not then give them a ring and they shall be able to tell you the thread id have thought, there number is = 01394388133 all the best. James
