  1. Ebuyer are good, I use them for pretty much everything. Good pricing and fast delivery. Ben
  2. I have both the JCB phone and a Nokia 5140i and tend to be a bit rough with phones. The 5140 doesnt have bluetooth though which makes it a bit rubbish. The JCB phone is very tough and simple to use. I was firmly a Nokia user but have adjusted to the JCB with little problem. If you want to sign up for Crazy Frog ring tones then the JCB isnt the phone for you and PC connectivity is virtually non existant. Ben
  3. Compared with what Neil did to the other picture removing red eye is very easy. You can even have your choice of eye colour.
  4. Having driven some Mitsu Shotguns with them in, I found a lot of entertainment in seeing what angle I could get on it around roundabouts. Of course I am older and wiser now and wouldnt dream of such behaviour
  5. I popped into Exmoor Trim today and picked up a security cubby box and was looking at their demo stuff in their boardroom. I could spend so much money with them, all their kit is so nicely made. When funds allow I will get a pair of Defender Elite seats for my 110. Ben
  6. I got my Nanocom from Devon 4x4 last Tuesday. I have had a quick play with it. The instructions were translated using Babelfish I think and its almost worth the £200 for a laugh. I got the new USB unit but with true Italian efficiency it ships with a serial cable. Don't let that put you off though as the cables cost next to nothing. Ben
  7. All the pictures I took were carp so I stopped even bothering to try. I need a proper camera if I want to be able to take low light stuff. Ben
  8. I have been looking into this and failed to find anything on the net that confirms it. I can find offical sites that say your tyre must be e marked but nothing that says dot marked tyres are to an acceptable standard. In The Motor Vehicle Tyres (Safety) Regulations 1994 it states in Section 13 that equivalent standards are acceptable and in 13.2b it says "any international standard recognised for use as a standard by any EEA State" which would mean if any European State accepted Dot marking then it would be legal here as I read it. I would like to get a set of KM2's but want to settle it in my own mind that I am not going to get prostituted. Ben
  9. I am a bit of a Virus geek and I would agree with AVG or Avast if you want free AV. I personally use Avast as historically it has had a better detection rate. I would stay away from some of the big names like Mcafee and Norton as they tend to include a load of carp you dont want/need as well as being very demanding on resources. Ben
  10. Some nice pictures there. Some nice trucks too, make the most of your wonderful coutryside before the environmental lot start complaining. Ben
  11. I wasnt aware of any of the stickers complying with the new regulations The rules are very specific now. 1. Mandatory Type Face and Plate Layout 2. The British Standard number (currently BS AU 145d) 3. The name, trade mark or other means of identification of the manufacturer or component supplier 4. Name and postcode of the supplying outlet I didnt think there was any sticker that met the British Standard Copy of the Regulations Here I think this means most people technically have illegal number plates on their vehicles and as such its not being strictly enforced yet. I guess over time with number plate recognition cameras and such becoming common place there will be more of a push for compliance. Ben
  12. They dont really fit properly with a 2" lift, so the answer to your question is no. Ben
  13. I now have a defender with aircon and am finding that all the cold air comes out of the 2 vents towards the passenger side of the vehicle with very little air coming out the drivers side vents. Is this normal? Today wasnt that warm but I am thinking that maybe if we get a summer it might be nice to have bit more actually blowing at me. I need to check the clips on the vent as today when I switched it to the max position the vent launched itself across the vehicle. Ben
  14. I can spend the rest of the day working out how to register on that forum now to see the pictures :)
  15. Be careful on the L322 Range Rover Nose weight... 150kg is the nose weight for UK spec cars Look at the bottom paragraph of this page 250kg is correct for South African spec vehicles for example Look at the bottom paragraph of this page Ben
  16. When I looked into this all nose weights on all Land Rovers except Freelanders were quoted as 150kg. I can probably dig out the link if you want. Ben
  17. I love the internet. Someone posts a link and quotes the offical line on something and others post how they disagree on it and how they think its a grey area Just because your vehicle passes an MOT doesnt make it legal to drive. Its all down to the individual to make the desicion on whether they fit whatever to their vehicle but in the context of this forum SteveG's post is the most useful post in the thread and I would have linked the same information if he hadn't. This is something I had looked to fit but wasn't willing to take the risk. Ben
  18. That was the result of removing a shrub in our front garden with my mum supervising the pull Ben
  19. My pictures from today can be found here I will look through the videos tomorrow but am still recovering from falling asleep and waking up with Britains Got Talent on the TV. This might be one of the pictures that Mr Hobbit is referring to. Ben
  20. Is it 9am drivers brief for 9:15am start tomorrow? Ben
  21. Everyone I have ever seen you have needed to short to get the ECU to be in "high" mode. Ben
  22. My old 90 on 35x12.5R15 which are on 8" rims if I remember correctly.
  23. The work they did on it was crazy and especially in the time scale. As they were starting they realised they should have based it on a L322.
  24. Buy a County Hard top, buy seats for it and put in side windows etc and hope you dont get caught. Ben
  25. A mate of mine went to Morocco with Impala and had a great time. I would think its a good introduction to that type of trip and you will learn a lot. He is still in contact with some of the people he did Morrocco with and they are planning a Mongolia trip together. Ben
