neilc
I have managed to cut out a rusty section of my foot wells , I know that complete panels can be purchased but I just need a small section , I managed to cut the section out before realising that I can't weld ( it was the first time ! I'll practice ) where can I buy suitable metal sheets to weld back in , I don't require complete footwells just a few patches approx size of a cd box. Thanks in advance
Peaklander
Go to your nearest recycling centre and pick from the metal skip if it’s allowed or find a fabricator and ask to raid their skip or the scrap bin.
Gazzar
eBay will sell you small squares of 1.2 mm mild steel sheet. Not cheap, but if you are restricted by hours, it's an option.
lo-fi
The princely sum of £4 for a 250mm square sheet: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152719334396 £20 for a 750 square. You can often find offcuts sold by the kilo on ebay too.
landroversforever
Best bet is to go and speak to some local fabrication places with a bit of cash on you
