rtbarton
Did you specify the vehicle rather than CCA/Ah ? I'd still have a go through Trading Standards, even if you don't expect a favourable result the supplier may already be on TS's radar, and it's all grist to the mill. FridgeFreezer
CCA/Ah shouldn't make a massive difference for a basic Series, it's a very light load compared to modern stuff and almost any battery should start & run a Series without exploding within the warranty period. I ran around with a second hand Mini Metro battery in the 109 for quite a while back in the day, that was "only" a Halfords battery too, and it was starting a V8. Bowie69
So, with all the advice on here, you are still going back to an online supplier?
neilc
No this supplier is literally 5 minutes up the road , I just thought I'd get a bit of feedback from him via the Webchat .

neilc
And screenshot it and send it to the original seller 😎
Escape
As above, did you order a specific type of battery (i.e. Ah and CCA) or one that will fit your car? While a bigger battery is always better, as Fridge says a smaller one (and 74Ah is not that small) should be perfectly fine in a Series. So I don't think that's the problem.
