kevin50 Posted April 21, 2020 Share Posted April 21, 2020 (edited) In the middle of Elctrics and need my Dash building back up. Now I am just guessing where things go as I bought the project all in bits. Think Ive got most Dash bits but will probably be missing something. Got a good Idea of Where some things go but not how they are fixed in. In these Pics they are just propped in place , no screws or fixings in yet. Most of the holes line up but its the Binnacle that holds the dials that I cant figure out where to fix it to as there does not seem to be any holes for it, Does it just sit in there when the rest is screw in ? I know its Damaged but it will do for now. Cant find any guides to look at so just really going off pictures of others, but none describe how to actually fit them. ianmayco68 Posted April 22, 2020 Share Posted April 22, 2020 I’m gathering that you know what the big black plate looks like, but here’s a few pics how it goes together, any pictures or questions you have or would like just ask dash is on the floor in bits so not a problem, plate goes in like so there’s a few plastic nuts like below for screws on the plate you’ll see the square holes 5 I think for these then binnacle goes on like this with big screws hope this helps, the black plate has lots of holes square and round for various fixings for dash vents and such it’s easier to get all these fitted before you fit the plate. Thanks Mate. Im defiantly missing the black plate, cant find the part number anywhere must have been superceeded or something. Is it the full length of the dash ? ianmayco68 Posted April 22, 2020 Share Posted April 22, 2020 Yes mate , the vents and various other bits screw too it , did you get your fuel filler neck the other day? that’s mine I’ve modded that for the wiper mod I’m doing so original is slightly different, try miketomcat again he’ll have one if he hasn’t sold it. Cheers will have to find correct part number as nothings coming up on the usual places. He did not have fuel kneck but ordered a Hazard switch so got one of them too hopefully here this week. Ive emailed Breakers Im stuck really now as cant really go any further with wiring until this is in place. Have to make a start on my Fuel Filler if one does not come up.
