Bigj66
Has anyone sent used Landrover parts to the US and can advise on the most cost effective method please? A chap in Texas has asked me if I could post my battery tray but a quick look on Parcel force etc is coming back with some frighteningly high quotes so before I give him the price I just want to check what others have done. western
I have sent stuff to USA but not big bits of land rovers, see what FedEx or UPS are like.
Eightpot
Transglobal express are good for larger stuff, otherwise just try each of the regular online agents as there can be differences in their pricing algorithms. Moderately heavy stuff can be very expensive to ship though and it's often better for them to buy more stuff here and have a pallet shipped. Snagger
It’d probably be cheaper for him to buy and ship a YRM flat packed replacement, just because of the carriage of such a bulky, though not heavy, item. In that vein, it might be cheaper to ship if you can drill the spot welds and ship it flat packed for him to rivet or rose weld back together. FridgeFreezer
Shipping to the US is a complete pain, especially big/heavy stuff - it's got to be pretty high value to be worth the hassle TBH.
Bigj66
I’m also sure there must be spares over there or even cheaper to have one made locally if you can get the measurements. I said I’d try so I’ve sent the price, it’s up to him, cheers all.
