Mo Murphy
Following a particularly useless experience with pro comp UK (I thought suppliers lying over the phone was a thing of the past), I'm looking for someone who sells polyurethane bushes for pro comp 9000 shocks. The ones that come with the deflex full vehicle kit are too big. Have you replaced yours ? Where did you get them from ? Cheers Mo
Mark90
I got some replacement bushes from pro-comp and it sounds like I had a similar experience to you.
Mo Murphy
It was effin' diabolical Mark, they can shove their pro-comp dampers up where the sun doesn't shine when renewal time comes round. Mo
MJIbex
The bushes being the wrong size does ring a bell; although it was a long time ago I fitted these. I think from memory I just re-shaped/sized the supplied ones on a bench grinder; I think I experimented with red poly bushes that I ground as well. I did not have any problems, although someone more intelligent will no doubt point out any potential flaws with doing this. Cheers Mark. pugwash
you could ask super pro they don't have an outlet very near me, so they invited me up to their distribution place to pick some bushes up. Really really impressed with the owner, really down to earth, no bull**** sales, happy to show me the VERY few failures they had had on comp safari and what they had done to rectify the problem- real enthusiast too which is always nice. I'll be ordering a full of bushes from the set when i gets round to it.
SOA 93
You could give Specialist Leisure a call, they do a fair amount of Jeep stuff, Procomp's are used on a quite a few suspension kits for jeeps and I know they used to list loads of poly bushes in their catalogue, of course whether they have them in stock is another matter. Mo Murphy
Many thanks to David from Llama 4x4 for sending me the bushes I needed FOC. You're a toff, guv'nor, and no mistake Mo
landrover598
Thats odd, because when i phoned pro comp uk for new poly bushes, i gave them the part number of my damper and the next day the correct bushes came through the letter box. honitonhobbit
Next time contact Richard at SuperPro - they do bushes to fit all shockers and I mean ALL! And once fitted you get that good old guarantee as well
Mo Murphy
David, I ordered their polyurethane set from their website. They sent poly bushes for the eye of one rear shock and half a set of rubber bushes and then charged me nearly double the website price ! I won't even go into the phone call that followed ... Lovvers, I'll bear that in mind for the future. Mo
