Quagmire
Guys, Now that i have my 3.5 up and running in the 90, I want to go Megajolt 'n' EDIS. Before everyone starts chiming in "go megasquirt" The 3.5 is on SU's and i will be running singlepoint LPG when i get it reinstalled... (Switchable maps?) Anyways, back to the main question... Where is the cheapest place to get hold of an EDIS8 controller? Was planning on getting the coilpacks and sensor from a scrappy. Have looked on the US version of our favourite auction site and can only see full kits listed with wheels (that i assume wont fit without modification?) Any pointers would be appreciated. Ta! HoSS
Ebay, about $20 Its only the EDIS8 that you cant find in euroland. But you have to log in to www.ebaymotors.com to see all of the US stuff. logging into ebay uk will not find all of the stuff. For the coilpacks & sensors, you can find those on 4 cyl fords (orion, escort, etc) at the scrapyards/breakers.
FridgeFreezer
You can import them from the states or I sell 'em for £40 forum price.
Hybrid_From_Hell
Don't forget shipping from the land of hell yeah is not that cheap even if and when you get to bid on a edis 8 only, and FFS make sure it comes with the plug and some wires sticking out (Pigtail) as you can't get them over here either . Use mondeo etc Ford coil packs and the wiring plugs and ford ignition leads chopped about to the plugs Nige
geoffbeaumont
Doesn't matter if the plug doesn't have a decent tail of wire left - you can release the pins and solder new wires on. Makes for a tidier job anyway
