Holyzeus
suspension of phase 3 http://www.london.gov.uk/view_press_releas...releaseid=20757 I know most of you don't care just putting this up for the many that it does affect including me
western
Establishing an Electric Vehicle Partnership to support greater uptake of electric vehicles, which have zero tailpipe emissions. cos they don't have a tailpipe & it's at the coal fired power station. missed that or what. white90
Good News indeed It affects me not at all but if I want to travel to London I would have to consider the implication of this TAX

Steve King
Whew!!!!!! What a relief!!!!! :) :) :D My plans to move out if London have been put on hold by the current economic downturn and was beginning to think of keeping my Defender at my brother's place and buying some kind of Eurobox runaround. I don't normally have much time for politicians of any persuasion, but a big cheer for Boris and common sense!!!!!
Buzz
Cheers Boris, Good news indeed. Just need to keep our eyes out for the public consultation, and then let them know our thoughts on the matter. Common sense, in 2009, there may be a small glimmer of hope for us yet! Buzz. freeagent
I'm not much into politics but I hated commrade Livingstone with a passion... at last London has stopepd its evolution into a communist police state and some common sense has returned... He might be as mad a box of socks but at least Boris has surrounded himself with the right people to do the job properly. I live about 6 miles outside the LEZ but my brother, and quite a few friends live inside, so am well pleased this pointless and spiteful TAX has been suspended... Ruuman
cos they don't have a tailpipe & it's at the coal fired power station.missed that or what. Yeah, but that's not emitting in London... out of sight out of mind In all seriousness I was against hybrid petrol's as eco cars as they couldn't get close to beating a modern diesel in the real world. But I think the electric vehicle has by far the most plus points over hydrogen and fossil fuel etc.
