Chicken Drumstick
Hi all. I'm overhauling my SIII and need some new chassis parts; rear cross member and some body mounts. Where would you recommend buying these from? I've been looking at the ones on Paddock Spares: http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/SERIES/Chassis/Rear_x_member_with_extentions.html But I don't want to end up buying some cheap rubbish that will have rusted away in 2 years time. Would you say these are ok to go for, or should I be looking elsewhere? I don't mind paying a bit more for quality items either. Thanks. landroversforever
I think Richards Chassis have started selling chassis parts along side the complete ones.
Chicken Drumstick
Cheers. So does that mean the ones Paddock sell are cheap rubbish, or are they fairly good quality still? Thanks.

Steve Warman
I got a rear cross member from paddocks a couple of years ago when I first got my 90 and it required a bit of fettling and could have been put together better in the first place but all in all not too bad. I think it could have been worse. A liberal coating of under body seal and I've had no problems so far

Chicken Drumstick
Ta. Their website doesn't say anything about selling only chassis components. I've emailed them, so will wait and see what they reply with.
Retroanaconda
They're very very busy at the moment, but they've always taken the time to answer my phone calls asking when my new chassis will be done
marsie
Richards are now selling chassis parts(except a-frame crossmembers) but are curently experiencing a record number of orders so please bear with them Paul
