aaron_h
Once upon a time a spider lived in a fuel gauge.... Now we all know spiders like to live in land rovers. They do a good job catching flies, However flies dont often venture into fuel gauges so im not sure why it had ventured into said fuel gauge. Im also not sure what type of spider it was? It was small with 8 legs. Anyway a part of living involves dying and so the spider died.... The gauge then had the front cover un crimped and glass removed so the spider could be removed This was then refitted You can tell it has been tampered with but you dont see the back when it is in the binnacle

Steve King
all spiders have 8 legs Not always - I had a 5 legged spider in my bathroom for a while - I think it had an unfortunate encounter with one of my cats!

JeffR
may have to plagiarise this post for the relevant section in the alternative landrover Manual. As an aside, yes spiders have 8 legs, but like most arthropods, they are capable of re-growing lost limbs, a function which I am very jealous of....
