I am looking for somebody that can cut some letters, approx. 20mm high, in a piece of 2.5mm mild steel. Which process would do the neatest job? Not looking for a freebe, I'll pay the going rate. For waterjet I use Locate Supplies. It depends what your planning to do with the letters which process you use. I tend to stick with laser cutting for metal & waterjet for plastic. The quality is very good, especially at that sort of thickness, but there is a slight discolouration/burn along the edges. It's not very prominent at all on mild, more so on stainless. simonr Posted August 7, 2012 Share Posted August 7, 2012 Dave, NAS90 on here runs Cirrus Laser - who both laser and water jet cut. They are the best quality cutters I've found and yet far from the most expensive. Dave would probably give you a good deal because of the Land Rover connection!
