different axle from different makes of 4x4

One of the simplest swaps is Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series, they have correct diff offsets, so you just weld LR brackets to the axle tubes and bolt them on. Custom props and off you go....

Set of Longfield CVs and you have a VERY strong driveline.

You may find if your Disco has ABS it won't work afterwards though :P

The deciding factor in this sort of situation can often be whether you can do the work yourself. If you are paying someone to modify axles to fit, it is likely to be more expensive than bolt-on-bits for rover axles. On the other hand, if you're ok with welding and a bit of suspension geometry consideration, it can be cheaper to do it yourself.

We've just put Nissan Patrol Y61 on a Rangie and I can tell you it was not easy. Since it's wheelbase is 105", offset didn't make any difference on the rear.

Axles came with a rear factory locker which is a bonus point, and got an ARB for the front.

From the looks, they seem very heavy duty, but can only confirm when we finish the truck and try it out.
