Anderzander
How does the tooth count thing work on vertical band saws - where you will be cutting at 90 degrees?
landroversforever
On the band saw its more down to blade selection and blade speed for the material.

Anderzander
The bandsaw blades i get from tuffsaws Just ordered some thank you !
CwazyWabbit
If you make your own bandsaw blades (or break ones you've just bought ) then you can cut your own hacksaw blades, you just have to punch two holes with a Witney Punch.
Anderzander
Can I ask - what folk do on pneumatic saws? Do you just cut 12" hacksaw blades in half ?
Lewis
Yep, snap them into three. Snapping then in half is great if you need to cut something long/far away with poor access, but if you use them for general cutting you'll find them too wobbly and prone to snapping/shattering
