muddy4x4xfar
Hi guy happy new year to all. Hopefully someone may be able to give me a little advice, what kind of electronic in tank fuel pump would you recommend using for my 6.2 v8 ls3 discovery, hopefully using the same discovery 1 tank. If not its no detriment, any advice is much apprieicated and any more info needed let me know. chris

daslandroverman
Would a standard efi V8 pump work?
Carloz
Would a standard efi V8 pump work? Could be: most fuel pumps are quite overated.. At least to get it running.. But it is al about the power it is going to make. When it is a lazy 6.2 with 300Horses the original efi pump will work I guess. Otherwise an uprated pump which fits in the original position. Aragorn
A factory LS3 makes 480hp, so i suspect you want the upgraded pump from the off!
elbekko
Bosch 044 is what most people seem to like to use.
muddy4x4xfar
im not overly up on fuel pumps my first thought would of been to use range rover v8 one but i wasn't sure ,
FridgeFreezer
RR 3.9 EFI is a hopeful ~180bhp, P38 4.6 is ~225bhp, LS3 is a conservative 480 before it gets out of bed. Fuel needed is for (practical purposes) proportional to power. There must be something on the internet about pumps for LS lumps, they're not exactly rare as engine swaps go... 6 pot
you need 40 gallons per hour at 60 PSI any less and the ECU does not like it
