jules
Is anyone going along to watch or compete. I hear the numbers are around 30 cars and about 30 bikes competing. I've lent my freelander racer to Goodyear to race as their Tornado is not ready to race and as I can't go why not.

Henry Webster
Jules, I was wondering why Glen was in a Freelander - that explains it. Bob, does that mean that the 101 is coming too? I'm competing as well. I can't wait - really looking forward to it! H

Just been looking at the cars competing and how many shoguns and L200's they are mostly Ex dakar by the looks of the builders names so the Bowlers will have alot of work to do to even keep up. My money is on Richard & Gary GB BAJA there are some very big names

jules
JulesYou seen Glen drive.......???? Kev If he Bends it he mends it. You have never seen me drive the most of 2004 season we were neck and neck it was only the 250bhp he managed to get out of his TD5 against my 140 in the freelander that ment he eventualy beat me. Kev Baldwin
Had many a tussle with Glen myself back when dinosaurs ruled the land and we were both racing screaming two and quarter leaf sprung 88ins with the Pennine LRC. Glen bought my old leafer, took it to the ARC National a couple of weeks later and won the standard 88in class comp. Kev

jules
Also Paul Green is the chap I bough the Dakar racer from and he also has a worrior but is racing a Quad. its only £200 to race on a Quad. The misses like the idea of racing a quad next year..and I think is sould like a but of a laugh.
streaky
Sheik Al Thani from Qatar will be coming over too..he's one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to race against....although a bit of a nutter behind the wheel. If he finishes the event he'll be top five I reckon. He runs a swb Patrol in our championship...with a 5.7 chevy short block lump!....nutter! Kev Baldwin
Noticed Mark Calzoni is also on a quad. Mark is the man (and brains) behind the 'Simmbughini' design. Was originally employed by Dave Simmonite as his race car engineer and ended up buying into the Simmonites company. Also runs a fleet of Honda Pilot's for corporate stuff so it should be interesting to see how he fares on a Raptor!
Henry Webster
Like last year the quad competitors are made up of UK 4x4 off roading scene folk. Alongside Paul and Mark is Naomi Ridley who is Hillrally and French championship regular Russel Ridley's daughter and Daniel Upton who is Terry Banyard's regular navigator on his forays to France. I believe the winner of the quad section last year, Matt Lee (he of Mattseratti fame) and Matt Harrison (ex-BORC winning navigator and Milner Pro-Truck driver) are competing on bikes this year.
