  1. Had this go on my TD5 defender, 2001 model at 106,000 miles (original factory fitted engine), was the oil pump bolt, threads had gone on the bolt and it just came loose! oil light came on and apart from a slightly noisier top end, you wouldn't know, thankfully i wasn't going fast and i stopped immediately so there was no other damage from lack of oil. Wasn't a cheap fix, if I had known I would have checked it as soon as i bought it! Would have a looksy if I were you!
  2. What year is your TD5? Does it have aircon? Grant
  3. I hate it when there right... Does anyone know how wide a boost is? I have boost and deep dishes, so either is useable i thought they were the same width though, possibly 7.5, could you squeeze one on there? Thanks Grant
  4. Hi, Will this not work on the pre 2002 td5 defenders if you modified the maps? As there was cruise control on the earlier discos, and they used the same ECU's so surely it is possible to 'activate' that function in the ECU when you remap/chipping an early ECU?? Thanks Grant
  5. Hi all, Im looking at 305/70 r16s tyres for my 110, they will clear the arches due to the mods already done, however I was wondering what is the recommended rim width and what's the narrowest rim width it could fit on?? Also.... What's the widest tyre i can get onto a boost alloy safely?? Is my girlfriend actually right saying 8 inches is not enough??! Thanks in advance Grant
  6. lol ok, i think mine is overdue by a lil bit, will do mine very soon now.... This morning it was fine, so im assuming its old fluid and the cold, anyway thanks guys!! Grant

  8. Hi All, Recently when ive tried to start the TD5 the last few days in the cold it doesnt want to turn over. As soon as I put the transfer box into neutral, it starts immediately. Has anyone got any thoughts? Ive assumed its just old fluid in the gearbox and transfer box being sticky with the cold! Thanks in advance Grant

A few teeth out?? Thanks again Grant

  22. Bought one of these consoles at the Driffield show this year and I think its fantastic, I admit, it took me longer than suggested to fit, mainly because of trying to cut apart a land rover dash in the middle of a showground campsite in the middle of the night but now its finished ( bar a few gauges) It looks brilliant! Please build a roof console Would love one! Will try and get some pictures up of the console shortly
