All soft so no paint run on your bike. The bike is very very secure and stable as is the rack which is held in place with 3 adjustable webbing straps BUT....you need a door mounted or swing away carrier wheel for it to be mounted it on

What about remove and blast then repair then get it galvo dipped. Ash tree land rovers will do a bulk head for OCHHH just looked £800 oh sorry that's them supplying one....no price to do your own but I know they do it ...what about the YRM stainless foot wells as well .....My policy is do it once do it right end of it......Says the man who put all brand new genuine landy doors on 7 years ago loads paint cavity waxed the insides and guess what .............I was a beat down man for a few weeks but ...I'm not giving up and yes it will be all new doors again and re spray again.......unsure yet all metal doors ..or galvo frames with alli skin glued on......

Even better if every month she buys parts she wants fitting....and buys you some at the same time ...But I would advise fitting her first lol

I'm a 1.41 I think it is and 235, 85, 16 and runs 5 mile slower according to the sat nave than the speedometer shows .......and hits 80-85 (real speed) and pulls and pulls like a train up hills even with being fully loaded and sankey on behind she don't slow much even in those Welsh mountains.......BUT have a full size inter cooler K&N air filter, snorkel etc.........its a 110 200 tdi

Ok its a dull old day and I'm stuck indoors so.......... Am I suffering domestic abuse from my partner lol ??? Like us all I LOVE my Land Rover The first thing I do when I wake up is look out the window at it and it the last thing I do at night. I care for her polish her and make sure she is looked after LOL. I'm banned from talking about it when we go out for the last 8 years and get told stop boring people with that dam Land Rover.....and Paul shut up there eyes are glazing over Could my wife be suffering jealousy of the other woman/love in my life ? Normally I'm the most un Nagged man on the planet and my Mary never gives me any grief what so ever BUT... She hates my Defender she calls it ugly, a box on wheels, uncomfortable and a money pit and that I'm obsessive over it......HOW DARE SHE I do try to argue back about how sexy she looks and what fine sexy lines she has and a nice silky glossy shine to her and how I love her but no she is having none of it she hates it. Now I will admit I wont let her drive her as she NEVER takes care of her clunking gear changes, not selecting the correct gear and scraping trees......And since I stopped her driving my Landy I no longer have to fit new UJ's in every year ...what a surprise...The one time I've let her drive it in the last 8 odd years she DAMAGED IT On the way home last night slugging on a bottle of beer in her grotty BMW who's inside looks like a mobile skip I was singing the Landies praises and what's lined up for her on the upgrade front...... AND IT STARTS .......you spent rather a lot of money on that this month ...why do you need blue pipes what's wrong with the pipes on there.....you all ready spent £130 on a Moto Lita steering wheel and now £230 blue pipes Blar Blar Blar Nag Nag Nag ..." what was that dear did you say something coss I can't hear you" Again as I slurped on me beer I tried to fight back defending my second love I tried to point out how much nicer blue pipes would be and how there guaranteed for life and that yes a I really did need that new steering wheel ...but no ....again I fought back saying how I was making a car for life for our old age when we are living in some remote part of the world (Europe lol) and how all these up grades were of benefit... Quick change tactics and I went for the why do you spend hundreds of pounds on dam plants for that garden what a waste that is desperately trying to deflect attention from the landy.... Any way after a good sulk and pointing out in fact in 7 years she has spent £9000 on cars and had 7 cars in the time I had the landy ...I think I got the upper hand .. The woman new she had gone to far there is only so much a man can put up with in a marriage and putting down a mans Defender is just a step to far...So I was treated to more beer and fish and chips...plus some of the other lol.. Not being a man that easy forgives such outrage I'm getting treated to Chinese tonight lol and have spent the day showing her landy upgrades on the computer. She seamed impressed "yes dear lovely dear" she said I knew she loves it really lol And she was good enough to buy me a Richards Galvanized chassis and all new suspension for my birthday. Am I suffering domestic Landy abuse ?....should I file for divorce on the grounds of cruelty ? Do any of you lot suffer Landy abuse from your partners or am I the only one out there ? should we start a help group ?..........Has any one managed to convert there partner and get them addicted as well ??? How is this done ? Just a laugh guys but yes she was annoyed but all forgiven now

I painted mine and used spray brake cleaner and a clean rag to clean the calipers first before painting (used Halfords blue caliper paint has worn really really well cant fault it)

I had the same problem last year Jack with the fluid down the pedal. I have TRW in mine Jack and is fine replaced all my cylinders at the same time ...I had a brand new 300tdi clutch pedal what I was planning on fitting sometime anyway then had the fluid down the pedal thing and then a drip on the passenger back wheel cylinder. The final straw was braking hard in the wet and ending up sliding sideways down the road SCAREY ..........Yep that back passenger cylinder has deff failed....... So to save any messing around , Fitted the new clutch pedal, new master, new slave and two new back brake cylinders (The front calipers were new anyway).....So now my clutch s nice and smooth with the new cylinders and the better 300idi pedal and all so my brakes work ....I Don't slide sideways down the road now......

Right guys I have a good quote to spray my inner wings have my silicone pipes on the way .....Can some one tell me the procedure to remover the wings as a whole on both sides ??? (1990 was a TD now fitted with a Defender 200tdi)

Oh yes this guy is good does exact copies of the pipes ..so no curves with joiners etc just a nice exact copy .....if yours has just started leaking after 22 years and 200,000 miles I will get a silicone one ...even if it lasts 10 years ......Or may see if he can silicone over a new standard pipe just so it matches the rest

Ok thanks there so what is the purpose of the mesh ?? I'm just having all my pipes that can be done made in silicone.....so far water pipes ok and on the way, brake servo pipe ok, heater matrix pipes ok. ....Would be good to get that one done as well

Hi guys ok I'm no motor engineer a Defender 200 tdi engine from the round air box you have the big corrugated air pipe to the turbo but all so off that air box is a much finer black pipe that's covered in what looks like white cotton mesh....from the air box round to the other side of the engine to a black plastic cylinder ......Basically to describe that pipe to some one on the phone what does it do ? what would you call it ??? Great thanks for that On the brand new gen LR doors I fitted 8 years ago (the dealership done me new doors for £200 each with VAT) On that inner plate only 3 bolts not the 4 would fit using my old plates from my TD........That lower seal isn't a problem for me to change as when it was re built last time (what a joke having to do it again ) That metal lip the seal sits against had rusted/rotted ....so using a sharp chisel I cut threw the spot welds and had stainless steel ones made ...the seal and lip are riveted on together........ So all sounding good so far apart from the fact I'm having to or will do in the next five years ...get new doors yet again......Lucky I love the dam thing

Thanks there that sounds very good and again that's cheaper than Ash tree which was £550 odd per door....again is every thing interchangeable ???....... ( got a new windscreen frame today £80 with P&P immaculate clean corrosion wise they recon will see when it arrives) OK just phoned LR and the puma door number is LRO29310 and the seal LRO29309 ...so there is deff a different door seal to the old standard door any one know why ??? Don't tell me I finally not going to have that force 9 gale throw my doors. seals......and as mentioned will all my door internals channels etc change over ?????

Hay Hi Western you come to my rescure loads over the last six years with the Landy so they all fit ....are the....Screen glass,seal, roof fixings and hinges all interchangeable ?
