I've decided to go with rubber hoses for the rad hoses as its just too expensive using silicon hoses aspecially if i'm going to cut them up and join them together as it would work out twice as expensive as it was doing the intercooler hoses, so I've ordered them all and should be here for weekend
I've just ordered a plastic shovel to mod for metal detecting ( drill loads of holes into for drainage and to cut the sides down to allow it to cut into the sand )
Then once i've got the water hoses where i want them i will strip out the rad and intercooler to remove all the new brackets i've made and the parts of the rad frame i've moded for painting inc the front panel then refit.
No I didn't either as I was going to go for a Garret ace 250 which isn't a beach detector but lots of detectorist's use them one beaches as they are pretty good but ive watched a few tests comparing the ace 250 and the 4pi and the 4pi is a far better machine so I will have to see ☺️
Gave it a quick try in the garden yesterday using an old washer and it worked ok but the real test will be on a beach which is what its intended for ☺️
I normally fill them with petrol and seal the necks up and leave them for 24 hrs then empy it out and iff need be refill it and give it a good shake then empy it out again and leave it outside to vent, the last one i did i used a full tine of Tornado RC fuel that cleaned it out
