  1. I was getting quite interested in this till I read up on it and it mentioned the word welding ( can't do plus its a new galv chassis )
  2. Yeah I've altered it now by cutting the end of the blade down and rounding the edges off just not done anymore pic's yet

  4. I only got to marking the spade out ready for cutting it due to working on the 2a so I will do it on Monday now
  5. Fitted the rad hoses today, just need to fab a bracket to support the bottom hose as its just proud of the front X member
  6. My new plastic spade has just arrived so tomorrow whilst i'm working on the 2a I will have ago at making it into a sand scoop
  7. Yeah I will see how this one goes then I mite upgrade to something better later
  8. Ok I've ordered them now but will keep that in mind as I may go silicon at some point
  9. I've decided to go with rubber hoses for the rad hoses as its just too expensive using silicon hoses aspecially if i'm going to cut them up and join them together as it would work out twice as expensive as it was doing the intercooler hoses, so I've ordered them all and should be here for weekend
  10. I've just ordered a plastic shovel to mod for metal detecting ( drill loads of holes into for drainage and to cut the sides down to allow it to cut into the sand )
  11. Then once i've got the water hoses where i want them i will strip out the rad and intercooler to remove all the new brackets i've made and the parts of the rad frame i've moded for painting inc the front panel then refit.
  12. Haha yeah you've just reminded me my wellies are steel toe caped so will have to get new ones
  13. Just got the rad hoses to get and fit now as I am doing the in black silicon aswell
  14. Are they the L.W.B. ones if so i will go that way if not the L.W.B. ones are what i want
  15. Are they the L.W.B. ones if so i will go that way if not the L.W.B. ones are what i want
  16. No I didn't either as I was going to go for a Garret ace 250 which isn't a beach detector but lots of detectorist's use them one beaches as they are pretty good but ive watched a few tests comparing the ace 250 and the 4pi and the 4pi is a far better machine so I will have to see ☺️
  17. My intercooler reducers I ordered the other day have now arrived and I am on an early shift tomorrow so once I'm home I can fit them 😁
  18. Gave it a quick try in the garden yesterday using an old washer and it worked ok but the real test will be on a beach which is what its intended for ☺️
  19. I normally fill them with petrol and seal the necks up and leave them for 24 hrs then empy it out and iff need be refill it and give it a good shake then empy it out again and leave it outside to vent, the last one i did i used a full tine of Tornado RC fuel that cleaned it out
